Default ----GUnit of The Game---- (Portland)

It was nice to see the zags put it to a team that we are suppost to "put it to"...if you know what I mean. It was nice to see the bench players continue to run the score up at the end of the game too.

My GUnit--- Austin Daye. 19 pts, 13 boards with a ridiculous array of shots.

Honorable mention- Pendo, had a GREAT first half!

No doubt about it....Austin. 19 and 13 in only 16 minutes. This kid is special. I just wish he would've showed the world vs. Memphis.

Austin was great when the game was already decided. Pendo was great when the game was in doubt. Micah was good throughout.

    I'll go with Austin Daye

Edit: I saw plenty of mistakes by Micah tonight, but they were mistakes of aggression. Certainly forgiveable when the team is trying to lose a passive personality when leading by a wide margin. You want to step on a team when they are down? Micah exuded that energy tonight.

Pendo, with a nod toward Micah. Daye and Kuso both looked good. Pargo and Bouldin distributed the ball well.

Pendo. He came out and played super in the beginning of the first half and then closed out the first half. This helped start putting the game away. His hustle was there (as usual). Austin and Micah also had good games.

Pendo gets my ballot. FWIW, Josh looked better tonight. . .and I'm not referring to his lack of facial hair. . .Honorable Mention to Mr. Daye for filling up the stat sheet.

    Austin Daye.

It was fun to see the future of Zags basketball all on the floor together this evening. Daye, Gray and Sacre will be fun to watch as the years go by, even if Daye leaves early.

Daye was disgustingly good after the game had started to get away and Micah was hard-nosed and just consistently solid, but Pendo really sealed the deal - scored the first 7 pts and made some major contributions when the team was seeming to get off to a slow start. Just solid. Pendo, no question.

Lots to choose from. I'm going to say Micha because of his hustle and his agressiveness on both sides of the ball. The plus/minus numbers don't lie - Micha is such an important part of this club.

    Default Pendo

    Without a doubt.
If in doubt, re-watch the first few minutes of the game. See who got the first baskets, rebounds, dives for a ball, etc. (as is with most games).
Pendo (as is with all games), is the man.
Good luck with the Jeep WooHoo.

Pendo was playing well in the first half when the game wasn't decided yet. He had almost half of our first half points.
Daye's scoring came more during garbage time.
Pendo was the GUnit of the game.

Daye played well in the second 1/2 but made a couple of stupid mistakes early on when the pressure was really on. Pendo on the other hand, came in with the attitude that the team had to play REALLY hard this game, even if they were only playing a mediocre team. Pendo's energy & leadership truly rallied the team to perform!

    Pendo's my GUnit!

Daye - seemed to me that the Zags were at their best when he was on the floor.
Micah and Pendo were close behind.

I thought it looked like Josh was playing in slow motion. Kuso was much quicker and more effective tonight.

    Default Austin

LawZag nearly had me persuaded, and I love the cagey old redhead, but the kid's stats are impressive ... across the board .... and he did a lot of things in the game that I liked.

Got to be Austin for me.

FWIW, Pendo was Fox and Hudson's POG.

Off-topic: I heard Rice, in the post-game show, say to Tom Hudson at the end of the interview, "Thanks, HuddyBuddy." Must be a common nickname for Hudson, but I hadn't heard it before and thought it was a kick.
