Uh oh, surrounded by Bucknuts. My bro is just outside Dayton, he's not a fan of all of the fans of THE Ohio St. University.
It's a brutal fan base. The worst part is they don't know how annoying they are. I was one, grew up in Columbus. Moved away for college and came back, to find myself no longer a big buckeye fan because of them. It is impossible to have a decent conversation about a college sport in this town, everyone has their scarlet and gray blinders on. Very glad I got out before I became one of them.
Everyone is ready to fire Urban Meyer and disown Zeke Elliott this week.

Many many moons ago I was working at a software company in NYC... OSU was one of our customers. So I am on the phone with the General Counsel and some of his employees and I said "Ohio State University" at one point. He quite seriously interrupted immediately and said... "No. It is THE Ohio State University." I paused and then calmly said... "Did I mention that between my two parents there are 5 degrees, 2 of them PhDs, from Michigan State?" There were a couple groans heard on the other side of the phone... but I was smiling ear to ear.
"And Morrison? He did what All-Americans do. He shot daggers in the daylight and stole a win." - Steve Kelley (Seattle Times)
"Gonzaga is a special place, with special people!" - Dan Dickau #21
Foo me once shame on you, Foo me twice shame on me.
I seldom have problems when dealing with the fine people from Just Another Ohio State University! I do sometimes have to ask them to show me where the 'The' is in the name, especially on their diploma.
“No team in the country has a better winning percentage against power conference teams since 2017 than Gonzaga... the Zags are playing above average teams in the best leagues in the country and winning 78% of the time.”
Location - moved seven times since this thread began and I posted in '08. Only one "reimbursed" move left. Don't know where that will be yet.
Well...if you hadn’t promoted so many times, they might have let you ride out your last few years as the Professor of Military Science for the Bulldog Battalion...
Any chance that they’ll send you to Fort Lewis or Germany as your “retirement” assignment? Any desire to stick around long enough to wear a star or two on your shirt?
