A Must Win
Lose, Bye-Bye 1 Seed, a desperate poem
<ahem>
Our Zags 'gainst the wall,
C'mon, Zags! Don't linger!
Give Timme the ball,
Red Raiders the finger.*

One Seed -- 83
Not One Seed -- 71

But what I’d really like to see is a “Get well soon Woohoo, we’re praying for you!” sign at the game on Saturday.

I predict the Zags lose. I don't have a prediction on the score. This hurts to post this. I have never predicted a Zags loss. But I have an awful feeling the team is going to come out in the early stages of the first half looking like they are showing up to another random "Open Gym" session while our opponent comes out to start the game with extreme intensity, focus and energy like I saw vs. Duke and vs. Bama. I'm not feeling too positive. Sorry

We already know.... if Zag's are shooting well early and establish a real threat from the outside that it forces the defense not to sag and make life difficult for both Timme and Nemby in the middle of the floor. That would be the perfect scenario! 2 bad that it doesn't always work out that way. (Its easy to win when that happens)
On the other hand if the 3 ball isn't falling early, what i would like to see....less self inflicted mistakes.
1. 12 or fewer turnovers
2. 70%+ FREE FREE FREE throws.
3. Less perimeter dribbling.
It may not be a pretty game but if that takes place GU wins by double digits.

According to the Texas Tech Student Radio Station twitter feed:
Mylik Wilson was leading Texas Tech in assists, steals, and blocks coming into their game tonight. He's 10th in country in assist to turnover ratio. TT HC Mark Adams said Mylik Wilson has a knee issue that may require surgery, but they will see. Adams said Wilson should miss the next couple games, at least.
Leading scorer Terrence Shannon Jr. only played 16 minutes, scoring two points, against Ark State; was limited by back spasms. Junior G Kevin McCullar picked up the slack, scoring 7 points over his 14 ppg season average to go with 5 boards and 4 assists in 32 minutes.

Really sorry to read that Tech will not be at full strength for our game. Sorry for the sake of Tech's injured players. Hope they're soon back in action in total health. Sorry for us not being presented with Tech's full arsenal/talent. If we merit a No. 1 Seed come tournament time, we need to face top teams at full strength and best their best.

I’m hoping either Sallis or Hickman really emerges as a force! Both have shown flashes, but neither has shown consistency. One or the other stepping up would be huge! The only hope we have for a better future is to come together and do everything we possibly can in order to achieve a sustainable existence. Everything else is folly of a broken foundation.
