    Default GU vs Duke - Predictions/Thoughts/What you do hope to see

    Next on deck #5 Duke. Former GU target Paolo Banchero has been stealing some of Chet's press this season. Do the Dukies come into Vegas and end the Zags win streak or does Chet make a statement about who truly is the number one pick?

    What are you hoping to see on Friday? Expecting to see? Thoughts? Predictions?

    Have at it boys and girls!

    p.s. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

    I hope the Zags are reading or hearing about all the whining going on from UCLA's coach and fans about Bruins being sick and missing their starting center as if that somehow diminishes how good Gonzaga just played. Yes, of course, Bruins would give Zags a better game if they had their starting center playing and everyone was 100% healthy...but don't let that obscure the fact that Gonzaga once again has one of the all time great teams in college hoops this season.

    Duke is this team's next opportunity to prove to themselves they are the best team in college ball and I hope they come out all kinds of fired up and put on another dominating display.

    Nah... did that about 15 years ago when the kids were younger. It was fun, but not worth the cold as I get older. Plus gotta get a bird in the oven

    I hope to see the Zags play well regardless of the outcome....but especially I hope to see Chet dominate Paolo ....that will not be easy even for the UNICORN....

    Something in my head says this one is a grinder. Duke is probably about the only team with the depth of talent that GU has, although I think GU wins out the talent battle.

    Will be a battle to the end... Paolo outscores Chet but Holmgren fills out the stat sheet more completely.

    Banchero vs. Holmgren is media hype/promo. Its a team game and we have the better team. If we play smart with same crisp execution and stifling defense as we did on Monday and Tuesday, we get the early lead, hold it, and win by 10.

    Agreed.....its not Banchero vs Chet(the jet) its about winning and Chet is free to roam the court seeking"oppurtunities" to help the Zags win...will it be a block? Dunk? 3 pointer? Freshly cooked popcorn? I expect a tough game from Duke...K's fellas ALWAYS play hard....but it wont be enough....ZAGS 85 Duke74.

    Red face Dillyball!

    Koach Pickle, a poem
    <ahem>
    Relish the thought,
    A jar for a nickel,
    Coach Few is a dilly,
    Koach K is a pickle.

    Hello, Dilly! -- 85
    Farewell, Pickle! -- 76

    Sorry, Koach. Nice Career, an apologetic (bonus) poem
    <ahem>
    Forty-plus seasons,
    Koach K, you're entitled,
    To bask in the glory,
    Of five D1 titles.

    More than one thing can be true at a time....I don't think it is hype....it is one of keys to the game...

    There's no way I will choose against our guys the rest of the year. They've just been so impressive. There is no doubt that Duke is talented, but they have played no one remotely good yet either. As always, I want us to stay injury free. If we play with intensity on the defensive end and take care of the ball, I fully expect us to win this game.
