Red face Thanks, thanks, and thanks, Reno!

I'm scrambling round, surfing the cable channels to see who's playing today -- when suddenly a light bulb goes on in my head: "Check Reno's game schedule!"

    A root beer salute!

High hopes for Saint Mary's v. Oregon. Win or lose the later championship game, beating Oregon today in the semi's would be a good boost for SMC toward/into the Top-25.

How awesome would it be if SMC beats Oregon. WCC isn't going to be a cakewalk folks.

    Smile Aaron Cook

Aaron Cook starting for Georgia v. Northwestern. ESPN2 - 2:20 pm/Pacific Time (right now)
Like both teams. Rooting for Aaron and Georgia.

After the Ducks' last two games, I'd favor SMC except for the possible mitigating factor of them having to work hard to top a pretty good ND team, plus playing the late game. Ducks played horrible playground ball v BYU, then were hesitant and overpassed, passed up open looks, and looked tentative and unsure what to do v Chaminade. Big talent advantage for the Ducks, but SMC appears much better organized at this point.

It will be a cakewalk because it doesn’t matter who this team plays.

    Smile Get 'em, Gaels!

Hoping Gaels take care of biz within regulation -- as our tussle with UCLA starts right after that game. No "scoreboard" cushion between.

    :]

Wonder, would ESPN send an overtime (SMC v. Oregon) game to their "news" channel in order to show in its entirety the historic #1 Zags v. #2 UCLA game? Plus, the latter is beloved Dickie V's first game back.

Was looking through some of the other games on today, interesting to see that SDSU is a -6.5 point favorite vs UW. BTW, that's not San Diego State university, that's South Dakota State university. It's good to be a Zags fan.

SMC/Oregon giving them a run (or walk?) for the money. First team to 30 wins

Not pretty but Gaels forcing Ducks to play at their slow pace.

They ought to just take the baskets down. Neither team is using them.

I'll catch up to this game in about 20, but right now, our KGA radio pregame is more important. My TV is already on ESPN, obviously. Hope our game doesn't get bumped to the NEWS.

The Gaels’ last two shots were an uncontested three that barely nicked the bottom of the iron and an uncontested three that missed it completely.

Gonzaga has defeated Baylor, Illinois, Virginia, Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, UCLA, Arizona, Creighton, Oklahoma, Florida State, Texas A&M, Oregon, Iowa, West Virginia, Auburn, USC, and Washington over just the past three seasons.

It’s possible BYU could still be the third best team in the WCC again this year.
