Default GU vs Bellarmine - Predictions/Thoughts/What you do hope to see

Next up for our Zags are the Bellarmine Knights. I know you didn't ask, but, BU is a small Catholic university in Louisville KY and is about the size Gonzaga was when I was haunting the Logan neighborhood in the 80s. The Knights are on quite the road trip... played Purdue and Murray State for losses and for a good gauge, is playing SMC tonight (11/16). Do the road weary Knights pull a rabbit out of their hats or is it smooth sailing for Timme and Company?

What do you hope to see on Friday? Expecting to see? Thoughts? Predictions?

Have at it boys and girls!

As a Bellarmine Grad, at first I was torn. But alas, this isn’t Casey Calvary’s Bellarmine Prep we are talking about here.

The reserves will get many minutes. We will throttle back in the second half.

Hope to see a 2nd half worth watching. Whenever we play a cupcake, it seems we take our foot off of the gas with about 10 minutes left. Hope to see Heister back, as Wazzu isn't playing that night. Hope we score more than 90; this lack of offense may come back to haunt us.

Just wishful thinking but maybe the 3 bigs (Timme, Watson, Holmgren) on the floor at the same time, with Nemby and Bolton. Give Chet some time at the 3..............

I think he is referring to games against lower level talent. Zags would easily be in the high 90s last year in games like Alcorn... not 84. For better perspective, they scored less against AS than they did against UT.

Think deep bench minutes will drag the scoring down...

Bellarmine doesn’t like to dribble, pass, pass, pass, then hit a cutter. I would like to see our guys with their athleticism get hands in passing lanes, look for lots of deflections ad steals. Zags 88 Bellarmine 58.

Based on my historical expectations vs. actual results, they will not score 100 points in this game. Now that I've said that, though, they'll probably score 100.

St Mary’s looked pretty pedestrian against Bellarmine. GU will dominate.
