    Default 2021-2022 Opponents’ Message Boards

Saturday’s game is a big one - big enough that at least four people in the Lone Star State are talking about a basketball game that will broadcast on a football game day.

Post your Texas fan boards links on this thread.

I didn't find much about the game. Everything you click next is football.
I think this will be a heck of a game, but i didn't see much buzz in TX about this game

Not much activity on the UCLA forums.

I peeked in on some of the Dook fan boards, now I need a serious shower. Maybe some Pepto as well.

I scrolled through a few of the replies. Most (not all) were very knowledgeable about both teams. Seems like a good board.

I agree. There were some interesting and thoughtful discussions about the matchup.

That board started saying Duke would handle us easily. After the UCLA game the tone of the board was more reasonable. Suprise.

This post I am not sure what they are criticizing the zags for in the Nat'l Championship game of 2017.

"I despise Gonzaga for the usual cliché, largely debunked reasons but also because I’ll never forgive them for completely cowering and laying down for the cheats in the 17 title game. Disgusting."

I am only asking what your interpretation of this is? I have never heard this criticism before. Laying down for the cheats means giving up? throwing the game?

That is what they consider North Carolina to be....cheaters...... with good reason.....the hate is strong in Durham.....

    ‘Bama.

I don’t expect to see much basketball chatter for a few days after last night’s 4OT football win in the Iron Bowl. Perhaps by Friday, the Tide basketball fans will be ready for a Top Ten brawl in a different sport.

Duke board has a maturity problem. That is at least their posts during the game.

    Washington.

This game may or may not happen based on their ongoing COVID outbreak. Their fans don’t seem to care if they play another game.

The season is still young. We are only eight games in and the Red Raiders have nine transfers this season. It would be foolish to expect a new head coach with new assistant coaches and so many new players to be clicking on all cylinders so soon. While I’m sure there will be a few more bumps in the road this season (maybe Gonzaga), fans can see that there is real talent on this roster. They just need more time to gel and gain comfort in the new offensive philosophy. Fans forget but it really wasn’t until mid-February before the 2019 Final Four team gelled. Let’s just hope they get it figured out by February 1st.

Reading the above description about Texas Tech one can easily substitute the name Gonzaga for TTech and it makes perfect sense; these are similar teams....still trying to gel but confident in the talent they have assembled. Just gotta fine tune some things.
Even though I care a lot about my basketball opinions, they are like comparing a bicycle to a championship motorcycle who is our coach. . ZagsGoZags
