Default Game Thread: Eastern Oregon Exhibition 10.31.21

Sorry to be late getting this up. I was eminently preoccupied with trying to find a working stream and have to use my phone to connect to the TV.

A bit sloppy, working out the kinks. Up down up on Perry reminds me of BC.

I'm over Eastern Oregon. Lots of hacky fouling, and just wrapped up Holmgren and brought him to the floor. Play a clean game or we shouldn't invite you again.

Fun to see the new players in action (and see how the returning players look). Not much of a takeaway except we are fast and will be good around the rim - but we knew that already. Team is getting caught up in playing somewhat of a playground up-and-down game, but its an exhibition and the first time in an actual game for this team. So no big deal. Only weaknesses so far are lack of knockdown 3PT shooting and losing opponent during screens on offense.

Strawther brings a dynamic we haven’t seen in while from wing. Can shoot it and explosive off dribble. Nice counter balance to our two bigs making it difficult to defend

I know that it's not against elite talent, but this team is so much more aggressive in rim protection than we have been in a long time. And I mean THE TEAM. Even Timme is being more aggressive trying to block shots. Strawther may well prove to be our most important player as someone to keep teams from being able to double or triple the post.

Perry is ready to contribute no doubt.
    Strawther so smooth
So much depth. How to get everyone enough minutes so they can get comfy and excel.

Nembhard, Strawther and Chet look great.

Hard to draw too many conclusions from a game like this but Timme seems to be adapting to not having to be Mr. Everything inside.

Bolton is lightning fast. The young guys all look pretty raw but the talent is so clearly there. Watson looks more confident too.

A lot to feel good about!
