    a deep sea of hubris
Hmmmm .... more NCAA tourney wins than any other school over the past 5 dances. Back to back #1 to open the season (6th time ever a school has done that).

You'd have to point out "excessive" pride or confidence.

    I sure don't see it.

    And as for "bad karma"?

Your BOLD prediction flat out sucks. (my opinion)

Who are you referencing upan, if you are at liberty?

Edit: or is that a prediction?

Ok, "hubris" was perhaps not the right word. Too confrontational. One man's hubris is another's unbridled enthusiasm, right? But here are a few of many comments plucked from the board re the Zag's prospects this season. Let everyone draw their own conclusion:

    "Won't be disappointed if the guys drop a game or two . . . just don't see it happening . . ."

    ". . . hope they lose one game, for my sanity . . ."

". . . really hoping for 6-0 this coming March/April. Zags will lose once this year."

    ". . . 35-1 and we aren't losing the final game."

    "I think one loss early . . . by mid-December, Few's well-oiled machine will start mowing team's down."

"Do you think our bench would win the WCC?"

Can't quite see how a team with six of their top ten players as underclassmen, and three of them yet to play a collegiate game, deserve that kind of "enthusiasm". Beat Texas, Duke and 'Bama & I'll be needing a leg up on the wagon.

Betting on injuries, what a way to entertain yourself.

Statistically, it's likely to happen. See Harris. Example #1. Gives me no satisfaction. None.

It is no more my thread than anyone else's but I don't see "predicting" two injuries as hoping or anything negative.

Absent Watson's shoulder, I can't recall a significant one in a while (I might be completely missing something obvious) but there is a reason to have depth. It can happen and does happen.

I don't find it offensive, just perhaps bummer statistical possibility.

Zags will lead the nation in fg% while shooting less than 35% from 3.

Side note. Why do they still do fg% and 3fg%? Why not 2fg% and 3fg%. More telling statistically.

For injuries I can think of: Perkins jaw. Heytvelt foot, right? And didn’t karnowski have a back thing? It’s hard to remember.

Gary Bell Jr had an injury in an important game too.
    I'm laughing. Why aren't you?

Like our Zags, my attitude needed to bounce back a bit following the last two games. I am ready to resume living my best life again (good grief that phrase is so irritating :-) and I believe this team is going to have a fantastic season.
As a pick me up, still looking pretty good for one of my two predictions...the most important one.

Well, we might be half way there with Perry’s injury.

And who knows when we'll see Harris. If he makes it back mid-season we could sure use a physical guard with an outside shot.
