Zags made the top 8 for Sofia Bell, a '23 6-1 wing out of Portland. GU, Notre Dame and a bunch of Pac 12 schools.

    No Worries.

Better to have it covered twice than not covered at all.

    Thanks,

Not sure if this is correct, but I saw a claim on another board that VanSlooten will announce her decision on Friday.

The announcement was today. It's Oregon. That's what pretty much everybody was predicting all week.

The only "good" news on this announcement was CLF continues to fine tune and improve her recruiting chops.

Although she lost out to the Ducks on VanSlooten, she came out ahead of teams such as Baylor, Michigan, Maryland, Duke and some top tier Pac-12 teams such as Cal, Stanford and Arizona. If you can continue to out recruit teams such as those going for VanSlooten, the Top-5 recruits will eventually come to Zag land.

VanSlooten may very well have still chosen Oregon if not for the recently-formed venture, but, it certainly didn't hurt.

"One of the biggest reasons is the Nike relationship and the NIL and all that type of stuff," five-star forward Grace VanSlooten told DuckTerritory.com of her Thursday commitment to Oregon.

Last week several prominent Oregon donors announced the formation of Division Street Inc., a sport venture that will assist Oregon student athletes in monetizing their NIL. Notable Oregon alumni Phil Knight and Pat Kilkenny have helped spearhead the company that will aim to give the school's athletes a leg up with its NIL approach.

I have a feeling that somewhere down the road we will look back at NIL with a whole bunch of regret. To quote Marvin the depressed robot from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, "This will all end in tears, I just know it."

    AND IT BEGINS….

Sadly I think the innocents of college sports is going to take a hit. And the “O”s of college sports will take advantage… VanSlooten is the example of what may be coming.

    Go Zags!!

Well the good news is nobody needs to cheat in recruiting anymore, you can do everything out in the open now w/ the NCAA's blessing.
