PI: What are you looking for in your school of choice?
JM: Just that family atmosphere where they’ll take care of me. I don’t want them to promise me a starting spot, I want to be able to work for that. So just being able to work for everything I got and the family atmosphere to take care of me even when times are tough and I’m having bad games. Just to take care of me in that aspect as well. Where I feel at home.

He just described Gonzaga. Think you found your home buddy.
How is this not a done deal based on that statement.
I feel like I read somewhere a while back that Few & co don't pressure recruits to commit and encourage them to look everywhere before making an informed decision? Maybe I am just imagining this, but it could explain why this kid hasn't already signed on the dotted line.
We are involved with a lot of guards but you can tell McCain is a big time priority. Probably only behind Mookie Cook. Pretty optimistic there is a lot of mutual interest here. Stromer is the other one who really seems to favor the Zags. Nice to see after some of the 2022 kids didn't seem to be as good of a fit as some of these 2023 guys we're after.

The '23 team is going to have a really young backcourt. Odds are that Harris is the only upperclassman around, with Sallis & Hickman almost certainly departing after their sophomore seasons (if not sooner). I'm sure there will be a transfer or two sprinkled in, but it definitely seems like there should have been more of an effort to get a solid guard for the '22 class.
Will be interesting to see how Duke's recruiting goes. Coach K's coaching tree hasn't exactly been lights out on their own. Am sure that will be used against them.
