Obviously this is a whole can of worms, but honestly, I love this as far as use of money.

Tuition at BYU is a huge bargain. $5940 annual if LDS, $11,900 for non-LDS.

IIRC, Jermaine was one of Drew's private coaches.

Rankings include Holmgren and Timme. Paige Bueckers at the top, who many of us have gotten to know as a result of her friendship with Jalen. Another Jalen connection at #5, I believe she was at a recent summer league game with Chet and Anton.

And so we present "The 25 Most Marketable College Basketball Players," a combined list of male and female athletes who have great potential in the budding NIL marketplace for college athletes.

Our criteria are simple. Players who have generated a sizable following on social media can offer companies access to an existing pool of potential customers and, as a result, hold an advantage in the pursuit of NIL opportunities. They are prominent on this list. Others possess exceptional talent that could -- much like Young -- make them favorable targets for companies that will invest in their abilities and future successes. Every player on this list has either an extraordinary following or extraordinary talent. Or in some cases, both.

I wonder how long it will be before former NCAA athletes start to sue to get THEIR due compensation.

Why would our players want a credit line at the Wynn?

Coaches that can demonstrate, much like a marketing executive, that they can monetize their fanbase will have a huge advantage in recruiting.

I wouldn't be surprised if slide decks showing NIL earning potential as a member of the team make it into the visits to meet a recruit's parents.

I suspect this will very much be the case. Some might even over promise and under deliver.

It’ll be ugly, I’m sure, as I’m not against the concept, but I can see how it’ll devolve into muck.

I'm curious. If the recruiting success of top tier players drop will it be blamed on Tommy Lloyd leaving, Coach Few's situation, or loosing the bidding war in the NIL offers.

Paolo Banchero stated he chose Duke for its earning potential. I wonder if that was part of their pitch to get him?

Money will corrupt by distracting athletes from their improvement. Dedication to the game will be lessened. Just my opinion.

I don’t begrudge the players for making a bit more money but I never understood why this was necessary. The ones who are going to benefit from this are already treated like royalty on campus. The good programs take care of their student athletes. This, plus the new transfer rules will allow players to take the spotlight away from the team and teammates. We already have that in the NBA, I’m not sure we need the same for The NCAA.

After the 2021-22 season, Tommy will become less and less the reason we lose recruits. Coach Few's DUI will pass after this season as well BUT loosing the bidding war will become more of an issue as time goes on IMO...we can wait and see how well our 5* & 4* recruits do with the NIL this season as it will have an effect on the 2022-23 class and beyond...

I just believe the P-5 football schools will have such a tremendous advantage with NIL monies...enjoy what we have now just not sure it will get any better...
