Default Bracketology June 15th -- Early look

Zags still projected as the top overall seed based upon what we know with transfers and current rosters (i.e. subject to change with NBA entry changes)

Pretty much a given we will be playing Florida State again.

    - our scheldule is not full yet, but so far we have
    - #3 seeds duke and alabama
    - #5 seed texas
    - #10 seed texas tech and #11 seed st. mary

    - in the empire classic we likely could face #10 oklahoma st. and then hopefully #7 louisville

    - not too shabby thus far, would like to see one more top 20 team, maybe tennessee or usc?

Wasn't there talk of getting out of the tournament scheduled for Madison Square Garden, but relocated to New Jersey? Seems that UCLA was mentioned as a replacement because something similar was happening to them.
Just what I remember reading somewhere.

    From the OOC thread:

Looks like the Empire Classic is about to get replaced with something new, according to Jeff Goodman:

Gonzaga and UCLA deep in talks to play in a multi-team event sometime in mid-November, source told
    @stadium
. Venue is TBD, but will be on the west coast. Both teams available now following changes with their scheduled events being moved from MSG and Barclays to Newark.

    I'm laughing. Why aren't you?

I'd take UCLAs bracket in a heartbeat.

    From the Spokesman.

The on-again, off-again Gonzaga-UCLA matchup is likely back on again.

The Zags and Bruins are closing in a showdown as part of a probable multi-team event (MTE) in November, likely in Las Vegas, but details are still being finalized.
The talks have resumed after venue changes were made to November tournaments on both of their schedules. Gonzaga was set to play in the Empire Classic at Madison Square Garden, but those plans changed with the tournament apparently moving to the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

UCLA is no longer part of the Legends Classic with the event moving from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn to the Prudential Center.

Apparently, nobody wants to visit Newark in November.
Gonzaga has defeated Baylor, Illinois, Virginia, Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, UCLA, Arizona, Creighton, Oklahoma, Florida State, Texas A&M, Oregon, Iowa, West Virginia, Auburn, USC, and Washington over just the past three seasons.

    - who wouldn't want to switch out osu and louisville for ucla......i hope that works out.
    - i think cronin and few want this game bad.....the hype and exposure it will get, could make it the marquee early season match up.

Played in Lithuanian pro league last yr, and could step right in at pg for Gaels. In highlight videos he looks like a Pangos/Dellavadova level player. Euroleague at least.

IMO many Zags fans underestimate what the loss of Ducas and Bockler did to implode SMC's offense last year.

Thanks maynard. Made my comment before I got news of the Euro addition. We shall see how the rosters shake out. BYU will have two 1st teamers in Barcello & "Harpo"; pretty good start to build a team around.
    But we don't play nobody.

Top seeds in each region would make a great Final Four.
