Boy the BCS snobs are all over Twitter. Now the big deal is that Gonzaga can't win the national title game (Few can't win the big one - but it's okay if Duke loses to Mercer), that kids are gutless to play for a WCC school because they don't wish to be challenged, and that Gonzaga is now going to fall to pieces because the "real" head coach went to Arizona. Of course there's the whole Chet is overrated thing. Just because he is skinny. Like that won't change one day. The key is that the kid is tough, super athletic and has a 7 ft. 4 wingspan. The kid runs a fast break like a PG except he's 7 feet tall.

It's really, really hard to win 6 games in a row. Some people just can't get past that.

Over on the Kentucky board some guy is saying that Gonzaga had to pay a lot to get Suggs and Chet. He said that their aau coach was behind it. He doesn't have a clue that Suggs' dad was their aau coach, comparing him to Myron Piggie. If you don't know who he is he is the aau coach that was collecting money to send his players to certain school, and was keeping most of the money himself. He was the one that paid Corey Maggette $3500 to go to duke, of course nothing was done to them even though it came out in court. Pigge was sent to prision over this. I don't know how he was, it is against the ncaa rules to pay players, it is not against the law, but that didn't help Pigge.

One site referred to the WCC as a low major league. The WCC would've sent 3 teams to the dance last season. A low major league, if you want to call it that, is the MEAC and the SWAC.

There are some people in that Michigan thread that stick up for Spokane and the Zags. It's a fairly long thread will probably get longer.

I found the remarks regarding needing puddle jumpers flying in and out of Spokane humorous . Pre-Covid, American had 5 daily flights from DFW to Spokane.
