    Love the Dunes! GO ZAGS!!!

One funny note as I was driving around EH this morning running errands...had ESPNU Radio on in the car and Dakich was hosting his program (whatever it's called) and he is ALL IN on UCLA tonight..I think he is friendly with Jaime Jaquez's family, but frankly it seemed more about hating on GU. He was going on and on and ON about UCLA and how much he wants them to win. He is such a piece of work.

This gives me the goosebumps every time I see it. IMHO, greatest pregame speech ever (Herb Brooks, voiced by Kurt Russell, before the "Miracle on Ice" game). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdmyoMe4iHM

Great moments are born of great opportunity . . . that's what you've earned here tonight. Tonight . . . we stay with them and we SHUT THEM DOWN because WE CAN!

OT: Andrew Nembhard's younger brother Ryan won the national high school title game this morning with Montverde.

My Gonzaga flag may not be unique, but it may well be the only one flying in Kentucky. GO ZAGS!

It may or may not be relevant but you do realize that that game was when a bunch of upstart college kids defeated the very heavily favored Russian Red Army team, right?

    Huh?

Of course I knew the context (and I could probably give you virtually every detail ... almost play by play ... period by period ... of all 60 minutes of that game).

But rather than point out that we aren’t the “upstarts” tonight I went with the fact that Team USA was wearing the Zag’s colors.

Sorry that my post bothered you.
