Default GAME THREAD: NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 - GU v Creighton - 3.28.2021

Another Mid-morning Pacific time-zone start, but the Zags should be well adjusted to the time zone. Zags take on a sister Jesuit school in Creighton. This matchup has always been a fan favorite in the past, but Gonzaga's goals in this tournament gives this game a more business-like feel.

I have it on good authority that Francis & his handler will be in attendance at Hinkle. This is a good omen.

Probably explains all the chocolate M&Ms in the Creighton locker room.

I predict Suggs is the player of the game today and the difference maker in the game.

    Leggo Zags!

Defend the 3pt line like your life depends on it. Creighton will launch 35+ 3's, need to keep them to 10 or less. For our transition game as well.

Stay focused on D and be you on O.

It will be a long day for Creighton if the decide to not guard Timme.

This is not a good start. We’re playing wayyy too fast. Scoring this quickly isn’t a good thing. We need the crisp passing back. We need to stop letting them shoot threes. Even if they miss and we rebound and score, letting them take shots is not a good thing. As usual, Watson has been completely absent. We need to hunker down. Did I get all the doom and gloom?

This game will not be as easy as that.

But that's as good a start as one can ask

already obvious that their defense isn't going to be able to stop us from scoring. If our shots keep falling, they gotta score 95 to even have a chance.
