Pepperdine signs Maxwell Lewis. 4-star wing, who is the second highest rated recruit in school history. WCC continues to add more and more talent this season. Deepest this league has ever been.

The link says he went professional, but Pepperdine's website says he changed his mind and signed with Lorenzo.

If the Dons first game is November 9, then you have to figure our first game will be sometime that week as well.

Northern Arizona transfer Cameron Shelton is shining here at Loyola Marymount practice. Should be one of the top newcomers in the WCC. Averaged 19.2 PPG last season.

I swear that arena has undergone so many name changes......

I long for the days when publicly financed sports venues were named after the towns they were located in.

Ryan said a forthcoming fall semester highlight is Kraziness in The Kennel, which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 9 of Fall Family Weekend in the McCarthey Athletic Center.

Kraziness In The Kennel, a scrimmage event held by GU Athletics, is an opportunity for Zags and their families to dress up in their game-day gear while receiving a first-look at the GU men’s basketball team, in addition to experiencing the thrilling energy of The Kennel that is to come this basketball season.

Ryan said FanFest, an athletics event similar to Kraziness In The Kennel for the women's basketball team, will be held the following weekend for the GU women’s basketball team.

San Francisco lacked a true post presence last season after Jimbo Lull graduated. Nobody on the roster averaged a blocked shot per game.

Now, Yauhen Massalski, Patrick Tapè & Volodymyr Markovetskyy join the mix in the Bay. More rebounding and blocked shots for the Dons.

It's great to see all the new talent coming into the WCC. It's going to be a tougher conference, and I really will appreciate that. There are some really great coaches in this conference now and that has helped a lot. And now the kind of players are coming that will make it so much more interesting.

    Go Zags!!!

Nice travel times for Oregon and St. Mary's. Sure hope the Gaels can win a couple. Oregon too.

    :]

<On the other hand, Vegas has sand. Maui has beaches.>
    Yeah, we're "The Champs," uh-huh!
