Default The BZ Bulldog of the Game - WCC Final vs. BYU - 03. 09. 21

    Whew !

Zags trailed 53-41 at the half. Opened the second half with an 11-2 run. . .and emerged with a gritty win in a nail-biter versus a game BYU team, 88-78.

    $uggs was $$$

Wow. I was going with Joel until the last four minutes of that game. Suggs was transcendent.

Kispert keyed the early 2nd half rally and Ayayi made plays all game, but Suggs delivered down the stretch and took the game out of the danger zone.

Kispert so instrumental in getting us tied. Ayayi amazing as always. Suggs, however, became the man we knew he was in the end.

    Kispert.

Got up off the mat from a rough first half and punched them in the junk OVER AND OVER to set the tone of the second half.

Thought Kispert shook off that rough first half, Ajayi was consistent all game long and Timme was strong taking it to the basket in that 2nd half. But Suggs - wow. Great time to rise up!

Voted Suggs because he was incredible, but Corey turned things around early 2H and Nembhard was sneaky amazing all the way through

This season is so difficult for voting on this as every night it's a team effort

Suggs just took over in the last 5-6 minutes. The kid loves and deserves the limelight. That second 3 was the dagger.

Also, no injuries and another double digit win.

Nembhard is like Yacht Rock. Just a smooth and easy feeling when he’s in the game.

Nembhard is so good, kispert wasnt his best but his onslaught at the beginning of the 2nd was huge, ayayi did everything as usual, but one player stepped up as alpha when the game was on the line. A sign of things to come??

I voted Suggs... but Corey was instrumental in the Zags getting back in the game

Thats how I was trending too, but SUGGS took over in the end and got my vote.
I think this was the most balanced game the starters have played all season, 5 in double figures, rebounds and assists well distributed. Team had 14 assists with only 6 TO's. If it hadn't been for BYU's unworldly 3 pt shooting in the first half, Zags win by 20. Biggest downside was FT's

Indeed! He was an NBA player tonight. I have been a bit skeptical about his talent. No more.

If you want to give a sentimental vote to CK I can kind of understand, but there is only one choice here and it's:

Came home from work with about 8:38 left in the game and opted to pick it up live instead of watching it from the beginning as I usually do. BYU is up by 7pts and suddenly that feeling hits me: we're doomed. I'm keeping my eye on Suggs because he's the guy I think is the key for these sticky situations. Suggs was playing aggressive on D, jumping passes, and being handsy. Just glued on his guy while on D and hunting his shot with the ball. One minute later the Bulldogs are up for good and my heart rate is jacked. Suggs went transcendent, hunting down a game BYU eyeing yet another epic upset of the Zags.
