GU vs Saint Mary's (Vegas Edition) - Predictions/Thoughts/What you do hope to see

St. Mary's showed how they love to play slow as they beat upstart LMU in the quarters of the WCC Tourney. Will Randy find a way to beat the Zags or will Gonzaga tack on another double digit win?

What are you expecting to see on Monday? Hoping to see? Thoughts? Predictions?

Patty and Delly in the backcourt would make it a lot closer game.

Watching the game last night between LMU and St. Mary’s was worse than watching paint dry. I simply loathe the tortoise pace of play.
Of course that’s the only way the Gaels have a chance is to lull the Zags to sleep, but I think the guys will be ready for the onslaught of a point per minute from the Gaels and force them to up their pace. Zags cruise to a win by 18. 78-60

I can’t believe the Gaels would play that horribly again. Still, I’ll say zags cruise by 20. I think the Tuesday game will give us fits and possibly a scare.

I hope for no injuries as always. What I expect is a blow out.

          Zags - 85
          Saint Marys - 62

I don't do score predictions (not my thing), but I think we win by 72-55 or something around that. Yes, watching the Gaels is like watching paint dry, last night's game was comical in a tragic way.

The Zags have been in postseason lockdown mode for days. I suspect that the players are itching to get back on the court and will attack the Gaels with all of that pent up energy.

The Gaels will try to slow it down. The Zags will speed it up. The better team will dictate the pace of play.

              Zags win 94-72.
“No team in the country has a better winning percentage against power conference teams since 2017 than Gonzaga... the Zags are playing above average teams in the best leagues in the country and winning 78% of the time.”

I hope to see a team that comes out focused from the tip off. A team whose every action says: “We know we are in the first of the most important eight game series of our lives. We our here with cell-deep purpose.” A team that continues the most amazing “share ball” play of any team in NCAA history. A team that takes one game at a time beginning with this one!!!

I think we'll be pretty ragged for the first 5-8 minutes, then we'll settle down. I'm terrible at picking the final score, but I think you're a bit high for SMC. I think we'll clear our bench with 5 minutes to go.

Hope to see fewer Zag TO's vs their season average (12.3), more assists than average (18), and meet their season average on rebounds (37.8).
If they do these Monday and Tuesday, they should hoist the WCC Tourney Trophy.
