Whether you think Baylor is all that or merely quite good, here's one thing I'd hope we could all agree on:

Zags struggle early against a middling WCC team, ultimately get it together and win by 20+. The lede from the CBB intelligentsia:

    "What's wrong with Gonzaga?"

Baylor struggles mightily against a two-win ISU squad, ekes out a two-possession victory at home after trailing nearly all of the game. The lede:

"Bears gut out a tough win in the rugged Big 12"

I'd say 3 weeks without practicing would be in the lead.

Didn't seem to bother us too much after a comparable layoff on a neutral court against #3 Iowa

Don't get me wrong, I think Baylor is 'all that' and it's understandable they struggled tonight being unable to practice until Sunday. It's the commentariat who are a fraud.

I liked them way back in the Flyin' Illini days w/ Lou Henson. Couldn't stand them in both the Self and Weber eras. They've mostly been irrelevant since, so I haven't paid much attention. I think I can still muster some dislike though because of those 2 coaches I mentioned.

The big 12 will probably get 7 teams into the NCAA Tourney .......Baylor will be well tested....

Barttorvik really did not like Baylor's game yesterday. Check out the 'game score'.
