Default Zags at BYU - Predictions/Thoughts/What Do You Hope to See? Plus Beverage Thread

They said it couldn’t be done. They said the predictions thread could never merge with the beverage thread, but I did it.

Who wins? What’s the score? What will you sip while you enjoy a late night game?

Thanks to MCMM for starting this for me...

My initial reaction to this thread was....

BYU is a tough read... Gonna go with:

    Zags 94
    Cougars 79

Since I got the 'rona... haven't really been drinking. So.... probably just gonna be drinkin' water. Haven't given it up... just want to let the body fully heal. BUT, I do have a crowler of this:

This is what I WOULD have been drinking (5.8% fruited sour)... made by my friend Pete whom I cannot wait to brew with once we are licensed in NYS

Tips at 8 pm for me, but I prefer the 6 pm tips. So I'll be drinking a double RockStar energy drink spiked with Bacardi. And sipping isn't an option, since we are playing BYU. I plan on being gumby-ed by halftime.

    - actually hope we do not run out to a 23-2 lead like last time. as i do not want the team too lose focus. want to see energized basketball for 36.5 minutes and then the bench empties.

Would request the beverage thread stay separate. They have two separate identities. My two cents.

What happens when you merge threads?

I think this one will be uncomfortable for Zags fans.

    Zags win 81-78.

And I will probably not be drinking anything, because I will have an unusually early start to my work day on Tuesday.

Are those...Border Collies in your avatar? Best breed ever (I've had two).

Thoughts on this game are no “playing down to the competition” waivers after this performance. Either Zags show up locked in and performing like they did during a very impressive OOC schedule or the malaise that seems to have settled in of late continues and the undefeated season likely goes out the window.

I think the Pacific game proves to be a turning point. Zags get their swagger back and flex all over BYU on ESPN. Kispert and Suggs play like the superstars they are, Ayayi re-emerges as a scoring threat, Zags D proves to be very disruptive with lots of forced TO’s and beautiful fast break ball.

    Zags win 97-84.

I’ll be drinking coffee as I watch recording at 0600 Tuesday having maintained strict internet silence until then.

Cad, yes all three were Border Collies (middle one was half Aussie). I’ve lost all 3 of them now but they still have a big place in my heart. I still have one at home and he is a great dog.

Why not let a few thousand fans in the stands? It would still be a far cry from the crowd they had last year.
