    Default The BZ Bulldog of the Game - @ UOP - 02. 04. 21

    STATS LINK: https://pacifictigers.com/sidearmstats/mbball/media

Zags show they can win a low possession ball game, overcome some cold shooting, and play some gritty defense. At times it looked like a Big 10 or Big East slugfest. . .

GU defeats the Tigers at the Spanos Center, 76 - 58, after trailing 32 - 31 at the half. Zags shot 22-29 from the FT line. 10 Asst/14 TO.

    Suggs 19 /9; Timme 21 / 5; Kispert 14 /2; Cook 6 /2; Nembhard 2 / 2

Which Gonzaga Bulldog gave you the biggest sigh of relief tonight ??

    P.S. ( From STATS, Inc)

Streaks of 15+ consecutive double-digit wins by Division I teams, since 2003-04:

    Gonzaga: 4 times (2003-04, 2016-17, 2018-19, 2020-21)
    All other teams: 0

Went with Suggs for his toughness throughout. This was an ugly game with a lot of fouls, but the Zags just kept playing through it. Timme almost got my vote.

Didn't vote yet, but I vote for the CBS announcers. They were spot on, hope we get more CBS-SN games.

Cook. I thought he was unbelievable on defense and really set the tone

Got to go with Jalen tonight. Only guy who brought the energy for 40 minutes.

Side shout out the officials for another WCC officiating "clinic".

    - odd game, or was it just ugly?
    - i'm torn between timme, suggs, kispert
    - voted for kispert as i think the 'turning point' of the game was his insane 4 point play. plus my respect for kispert grew as he did not come up swinging on the assault he took at the end of the game.

I wouldn’t argue with any selection. In fact, I think picking a POG was especially hard this time. But I picked Kispert (fouled trouble notwithstanding) because I thought his unbelievable four point play was the turning point.

I’d go Suggs, 19/9 is a great performance, but felt he and Cook really ratchet up the on-ball d in the second half. With Cook that’s expected, but good to see from Suggs.

I was impressed with Suggs getting in the face of the guy who mauled Corey, but without escalating things. He just got in his face, and let him know not to mess with his guys.

No disrespect to Jalen, but my vote went to Drew, he single handedly fouled out their two big men.

I've noticed a trend over the past few games, teams have gotten much more physical with Drew. IMO, that's a big mistake, Drew's been playing physical teams since he was in HS. As we saw tonight, he feeds off of that.

Loved Timme... Not digging the stache... but the guy who kept us chugging while we floundered was Suggs. Bonus points for getting tough after that brutal flagrant. First guy in his face.

I'm glad he finished several plays with a flush. He will need to play this way when they get into march.

My vote is for Timme. When the going got tough it became Timme time. He literally got Pacific’s two bigs fouled out. Kispert would be next with his four point play and resurgence in the second half. I would go Cook next and then Suggs. Cook played inspiring defense and Suggs made a few great drives to the hoop.

I voted for Timme because he seemed more fired up and got the team going. Jalen deserved it too for steady play and Corey for not smacking that guy for the dirty foul.

I'm sure Drew's mom is on your side...she prefers the beard. I got that directly from Drew Manchu.
