So much for one of our “signature” wins. Happens to us just about every year.

Hope these games get played. More teams edging toward the required 14 minimum to qualify. Coach Izzy raised an excellent question regarding the wisdom of playing conference tournaments hard against the start of the NCAAs. Hope the NCAA continues to monitor.

    Go Zags!

Baylor in a battle with OSU. Baylor is a very, very good team but eminently beatable. OSU plays good D but are otherwise pretty unremarkable IMO.

Maryland leads @ Minnesota, 55 - 44, with 5:18 to play. Gophers have not lost at home this season.

Baylor struggles for 3/4 of the game against a middling conference opponent before drawing away.

When we do that, the sky is falling. For Baylor, just another day at the office

No doubt about it. Baylor is very good.

    Baylor is very good.

The Virginia win is going to look better as the year goes on. The Kansas win is going to look worse. The Iowa Win may hold up. The Auburn win will look better but there is the caveat (and a good one) that Cooper didnt play in that match. He makes Auburn go.

Duke goes down. 5-5 on the year. 3-3 in conference, good enough for 9th in ACC I believe.

No problem. They will still get invited to The Dance, regardless of their standing. sarc.

Six of the twelve games played thus far today involved a ranked team being upset by a lower (or un) ranked team. Parity is affecting almost everyone (except us and Baylor -- .)

Possibly. But at this point would be even more fishy than the first time he did it.

Michigan health department to suspend @UMichAthletics for two weeks after student athletes test positive for B.1.1.7 COVID-19 variant. A student athlete was the first confirmed case of the new variant in the state.

In the night cap, Oregon St. is about to knock off #21 Oregon. Ducks have a 28 game home winning streak that is in serious jeopardy.

In other news, Koach is not happy:

Mike Krzyzewski goes after student reporter after another Duke loss
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nca...?ocid=msedgntp

After the Louisville game, Duke Chronicle reporter Jake Piazza asked Coach K “what the next step forward is” as Duke lost their third game in a row and have games against Georgia Tech and Clemson next week. How Krzyzewski reacted to the question, you may have thought Piazza asked him if he was worried he was losing his job.

I'm finding this really hard to believe, but Oregon St. just got their first road win against a ranked team since 1985. That means they never got one during Gary Payton's time there. Wow.
