Ayayi with only 7 shots, yet scored 19. Highly efficient.

Ayayi was the only one who had it going in the first half; but Kispert, Timme, and Suggs all had their moments in the second half. Giving it to Ayayi because he didn’t have the same sort of lax moments the other had when the game was still close.

Way too much hero ball tonight from our guards. They better not do that against really good teams.

Ayayi did Ayayi things all night long. He also had zero turnovers on a night when the rest of the team was sloppy with the ball.

HM goes to Watson. I’ll take a stat line of 6 points on 3-3 shooting and 10 rebounds out of him any time, especially if the rest of the team scores 90.

Ayayi feels like the only one who didn't disappear in a half.

Good arguments for Timme, Kispert, and Ayayi, in fact they were tied in my rating matrix. For consistent play in both halves of the game I voted for AYAYI

By the numbers I vote for Timme. A little of everything plus I appreciated his calming Jalen down when he got frustrated.

Pepp seemed determined to stop Kispert. They didn’t. Corey.

Could have easily gone with Corey but had to give it to Ayayi. The guy never takes a play off. We are lucky to have him.

Sloppy game with 18 turnovers. Kispert led scoring and 3s (rest of team shot 25% from 3), Watson 10 boards, Timme was very, very good (when he was good; when he was not, he was slow and horrid). Ayayi filled the stat line again, and the only one who played the whole game; thus, the player of the game.

Timme throwing clunkers in first half but got it together for the 2nd. Don't take Kispert for granted, the guy was harassed big time all night but still came through. Ayayi is so steady and gets to the ball. Suggs making some freshman mistakes and Watson fought for the boards with 10, nice. Looked like Pepp strategy was to draw as many fouls as possible. I give the Refs a D-. Should have called flopping on a few of those, so obvious. Pepp gave it their all I'll say that. Ross was held to 9 so our D must have been pretty good but his shooting was not his usual tonight.
Can't decide Kispert or Joel, both solid. Tie

Voted Ayayi. Honorable mention to Cook who steadied the ship as PG for a good stretch when our remaining guards were riding pine due to foul trouble.

4 turnovers is steadying the ship? Gotta give Cook props for playing through injury, but not even a top 3 player tonight.

    - kispert, take away his 3 point baskets, and this game is in doubt.

Few liked cooks defense on ross but his offense was putrid.

Ayayi-- without him in the first half we would be down 5-10 playing the way we did

I don’t think I watched the same game as you. Kispert was wide open all night. I believe he was 3-7 from deep in the first half and they were all uncontested. He was much better in the second half when Pepperdine offered a bit more resistance. Corey is extremely valuable for this team but I would bet he would tell you tonight wasn’t his best.

Ayayi, the prankster, is threatening to be WCC player of the week for a third consecutive time.

Eh, you're right. Guess I wasn't paying enough attention. I thought that stretch we widened our lead. His EFF was 1.0, though.
