Default GU vs Pepperdine - Predictions/Thoughts/What you do hope to see

Round one with the Waves. Does Romar and reach into a bag of tricks to crack the code of the Zags (not that he ever really did that at UW) or is it another romp for the #1 team in the country?

What are you expecting to see? Hoping to see? Thoughts? Predictions?

Have at it boys and girls!

What I hope to see? The game itself!

2pm start time on the West Coast. Why?

It's espn2. Thats about as good as this game is worth in TV ratings standards.

I'm guessing it's because of the "World's Strongest Man - 2012" competition re-run from Sweden that's getting top billing. I know I'll be tuning in for it. (SARCASM, dripping)

    Zags surf over the Waves...

    HOPE TO SEE:
Watson with another offensive burst, Ballo showing some rim protection skill.
Would love to see Suggs turn in his own triple-double in this one. I had predicted Jalen would get it in the Portland tilt, only to have Ayayi corral that honor.

Thanks, Pro. An exercise in Kiddwell goofiness. (I've had this one in reserve for a few weeks now.)

Now I'm back to thinking they'll all be over 100 again.

    Zags - 105
    University of Pepperdine - 71

And Since I'm working from home, I kind of like the 2pm start time. Except for that 2pm meeting that just got scheduled for me that day.
My posts indicate that I don't seem to follow college basketball all that closely.

Looking forward to seeing Colby Ross. Kid plays hard. Best of the smaller guards in the WCC and one of the best competitors in the country.

Feel for the Waves. They look to be having a crazy season. Haven’t played since December 23rd? Great that this game is considered essential and they are allowed to travel over 120 miles from home.... maybe the 2pm tip is so they are back before curfew.

Think Few more than our coaches Romar and takes his foot off the gas much later in the game

90-82 Gonzaga. Pepperdine has a formula that works against the Zags

Would love to see us set a goal of holding Pepp to 35 or less each half and get 10 minutes each for Ballo, Harris, Strawther, and Cook plus spot minutes for rest of bench.

Harris takes (even makes) a shot in the flow of the first team's offense.

    - would like to see the zag guards rise to the challenge of defending a top notch guard (colby), as they will see that level of skill come tournament time.
    - team goal should be to hold him below season averages, of 19 points and 7 assists.
