It certainly does not look like the #1 and #4 teams on the court today.

Dana Evans is showing up big time but the rest of Louisville is AWOL. NC State about to pull off the rare feat of beating two #1 ranked teams in the same season.

74-60, no doubts about this one. NC State definitely was the better team today.

What is it with the lack of offense today among the ranked teams:

#1 Louisville vs #4 NC State at half NC State lead 29 - 25
#11 Ohio State vs #22 Northwestern at half Northwestern leads 32 - 25

Only one out of 4 ranked teams could hit 30 points at half.

I know many of the games I've watched, generally poor shooting and/or poorly run offense. I know it's been a weird season but it seems like teams still aren't approaching mid season form.

Northwestern about to knock of Ohio St.

CG3Dad tough schedule this week for you San Diego and BYU. Looking at your first game against BYU and our last game have some advice for you. Must guard #13 Harding, #10 Graham, #11 Smiler tight on the 3 point line. #10 Graham seems to have her minutes going up (6th Man) coming from the bench, really have to watch her. Saw your first game you did a lousy job guarding from the 3 point line and we made the exact same mistake they will burn you. Put your speediest guards on Gonzales and stay in her face.
With Mandel you can hang with their height. Protect the ball watch those lazy passes Gonzalez will steal them and then cash it in on the other end, she carved up Pacific.

San Diego the verdict is still out Good Luck this week Kieth.

    Thanks ZAB

Great advice. I think we will put Chels on Gonzales. She’s kinda our defensive specialist. The only thing is, that pretty much takes her out as much offensively... you have to pick your poison.

We’ve got some other great shooters if they can get going.

I think it might be time for Chelsey’s roommate Jasmine Jones to get back into the mix?

Lots of WCC action today. BYU bounced back w/ a win over Pepperdine, still winless in conference. LMU w/ the early lead over USD and Pacific jumping all over SCU (every year I wonder why they don't finish higher in the standings...).

One big upset today, Ole Miss beat a very badly underachieving Kentucky team who is loaded w/ talent but not living up to it. Their coach suddenly had to retire for health reasons right before the season started. They promoted an assistant and for some unknown reason gave her a 5 year contract rather than waiting to see if she could actually, you know coach. Looks like she can't, and now they're stuck. Can't for the life of me figure out why they didn't give her an interim year and then make a better decision.

Wow, Pacific must be mad! Drilling SCU 46-16. I can't for the life of me figure out how they are only 3-6 in conference, they obviously have talent. The Higgins/McDavid duo alone should put them in the top half of the WCC and they have some other players.

USD-LMU in a close battle and USF is hammering SMC (wow have the Gaels fallen fast from a couple years ago).

Ooph, LMU leading USD 19-18 at the half. That one can't be fun to watch. It was 8-6 in Q2, ugh.

Hope your Lions can hang on CG3Dad.

Don't think we're going to get' em.

Wind out of our sails - one of our ladies went down with a "knee" injury in the third
Klimek. Our great guard from Poland.

    Dang, I hate injuries, sorry.

USD up 7 w/ about 20 seconds left.

USF beat SMC by 27 and Pacific beat SCU by 24 (they were up by 38 heading into the 4th quarter).

CG3Dad sorry to hear about #30 Klimek hope its not serious.

You been talking a while about Jasmine Jones coming back soon. Might be time for her to make decision soon, come back or pack it in for next year. Hope she is able to make it back to the court.

San Diego typical game it seems this year. I saw they lead the WCC in like 4 defensive categories very tough defensive team.

Keith it looks like none of your ladies were shooting good tonight FG percentage wise, against San Diego's vaunted defense. But your daughter did shoot well from the free throw line.

    Better luck against BYU.

Let me talk about Pepperdine for a minute, they are 0-10 in the WCC. But they are not getting blown out by nobody. Zags won 58-42, BYU won 75-61. Pepperdine just seems like a very hard luck team in the WCC at this point.

Cougs do it again, take down #5 UCLA. Led almost the entire 2nd half, looked like they were about to Coug it, but then UCLA did them a favor and handed the game right back to them. Big game for Charlisse Leger-Walker w/ 28.

A game of some interest to Zags fans going on currently, South Dakota St. and South Dakota are going at it. Both OOC opponents this season, correct? Both are undefeated in conference play so far, outcome will go a long way in determining their conference winner. SDSU up 9 in the first half.

Yes, beat USD 54-50 in the second game of the season at a "neutral" court in South Dakota. Lost to SDSU in Brookings in the third game of the season 75-72. The last time the Zags lost was to SDSU 15 games ago.

Another interesting game just go started, UConn vs Marquette. UConn is 12-1, 10-0 in the Big East and Marquette is 12-2 9-1 in the Big East.

Can Marquette give UConn a game?

SDSU is smokin' USD. 54-33 thru Q3. Coyotes didn't bring their offense with them apparently.

    Never mind, UConn running away.

Not really looking like they are going to be challenged in the Big East any more than they were in the AAC.

Bueckers is just getting warmed up for UConn, seems like she's been scoring at will lately. Will Geno let her go wild, or try to reign her in? I don't know that he's ever had a Freshman scoring the way she is doing so her early in her career.
