I just heard that with the various cancelations occurring, Gonzaga might be hosting BYU on Thursday.

BYU board thinks it’s happening.
Did I miss something....Santa Clara cancel for Thursday?
It may be so BYU can fly in that morning, play and then fly home.
Cut costs and cut exposure.
It's not funny.
Unless SCU is going on pause, seems a bit weird.

on the Santa Clara home page i see no cancellation for Thur vs zags,
will we really play two games on same day? hope its BYU first
Two games on one day would further raise the legend of this team, but I can't see Few or Roth agreeing to that.
The new CBB paradigm. Lafayette and Lehigh played two games in two days, two campuses last wk and will play each other at least 4 times in the regular Patriot season. Catch as catch can basketball.
GU plays one half of BYU first, then one half with SCU, BYU plays one half against SCU then GU plays the second half vs BYU and BYU plays the 2nd half against SCU and then GU plays the 2nd half of the SCU game...that could work and sure would be interesting to watch BUT don't see this happening...
I just hope the SCU game isn't "OFF" and that SCU ending its season is just a rumor BUT California is going through some nasty COVID-19 sheet...
1) A double header? Has this ever happened before?
2) A recipe for disaster on multiple levels. Hosting 2 teams and staff at GU within COVID protocols is a logistical nightmare.
3) Playing 2 teams like this: "GU plays one half of BYU first, then one half with SCU, BYU plays one half against SCU then GU plays the second half vs BYU and BYU plays the 2nd half against SCU and then GU plays the 2nd half of the SCU game...that could work and sure would be interesting to watch BUT don't see this happening..." Completely nuts and would add to the nightmare Not to mention the risk of injury to exhausted players.
I know we are deep but not that deep. IMHO this won't happen.
The only way this works is SCU cancellation or reschedule. TBD I guess.

Does anybody have an actual source for this news? It isn’t showing on the athletic department websites for either university. Santa Clara’s website still shows the Gonzaga game on their schedule for Thursday. CougarBoard seems to be following our board as their information source.
You would think that by now there would be at least one statement from one of the three schools.

And the mome raths outgrabe.
Sounds like BS to me.
I have always found that the best source of scheduling information remains the GoZags site:https://gozags.com/sports/mens-basketball/schedule
It gets updated with authoritative information once it is available.
