    Default 20 - 21 NET Rankings Thread

Despite the unusual scheduling circumstances, the NET rankings are largely aligned with other metrics that the selection committee tracks. There are certainly outliers involving teams that have played very few games, but as more data becomes available with the addition of more games, the more stable the NET rankings will become.

The NCAA entertained the idea of not including teams that have yet to play five Division I opponents but ultimately decided to include everyone, recognizing that all teams will soon reach that threshold.

Duke and Kentucky fail to crack the top 100.

    FYI

    Quadrant 1: Home 1-30, Neutral 1-50, Away 1-75
    Quadrant 2: Home 31-75, Neutral 51-100, Away 76-135
    Quadrant 3: Home 76-160, Neutral 101-200, Away 135-240
    Quadrant 4: Home 161-353, Neutral 201-353, Away 241-353

SMC and BYU will both count as Q1 wins if we beat them away. (and they don't have any infuriating losses that bring them down.) Those would be our only Q1 wins until the end of the season.

If Duke isn’t in the top 100, how can they be an 8 seed in Lunardi’s brracketology?

Its early to take much from the NET. Drake is currently 16th. I would not be excited about Duke as an 8 seed in our bracket. They are 11th on KenPom right now, I'm guessing that ranking is closer to reality than the NET.

Husky basketball culture is so broken. It doesn't make sense. They have so much "Husky pride" that they wouldn't let NWG play pickup with them after he went to GU. But they don't have enough pride to actually play to win. They just bide their time, waiting for the NBA draft. The only way the Huskies are ever going to win again is if they stop recruiting Seattle prima-donnas and find some players who are hungry to win.

hopkins arrived with a team that had a lot of experience, noah dickerson reminded of jp batista,
really good under the basket but not tall enough to make it big in the nba, matisse, etc.
If hopkins could add offense to his overall plan, he could do well.
he's a good guy imo, but strength and coaching skill is too much defense only

You could say much the same about the Dallas Cowboys. The only way they're ever going to win again is to stop signing players who care more about winning than "establishing a brand." Jerruh has been scorched over the past couple of days for showing his pride over the attendance at JerryWorld this past season.
