Espn2 has a game schedule to play at 7PM Saturday with no teams named yet. I'm praying it's Gonzaga.

The Stanford at Oregon game tips off at the same time as ours. One game will be on the "U", the other on ESPN2. Seeing as how the Deuce has wider coverage, I'm guessing they get the Zags.

USF is 0 for (something like) 28 against Gonzaga in Spokane over the past many years. But, they have stunned us more than once in War Memorial. I am friends with their play-by-play guy, Pat Olson, and he would dearly love a win in Spokane. He has broadcast nearly all of those losses.

From my other sports board: San Francisco-Gonzaga: Jon Sciambi, Fran Fraschilla. I don't know much about these announcers, but at least they should stay focused (cough, cough, Heister).

Those guys are two of the best ESPN has to offer IMO. Fran has always followed the GU program and is really knowledgeable about international players. Sciambi is just solid as the P by P guy. Sciambi reminds me of the guy that lives in a van down by the river.

I really hope the league office and the ADs are burning up the phones, working through various scenarios. Of the 10 schools that are in the conference, 7 are from California. I'm expecting the Governor to lock down the state soon.

= the govenor may well do so, but about two weeks ago he said he would not shut down college sports because they are working very hard and doing very well with their covid protection protocols. we shall see?
