    STATS LINK: http://stats.statbroadcast.com/statmonitr/?id=324030

Christmas comes early for Zags Nation as Gonzaga shows a national TV audience why they deserve their Number 1 ranking.

They also showed some rust ( Turnovers, Free Throw shooting )

Who deserves an extra treat in their stocking as today's BZ Bulldog of the Game ?

    #GoZags. #StaySafe.

suggs had 7 TOs, which is unforgivable generally despite his amazing 1st half. Ayayi was the man in a tough 2nd half and It goes to him IMO

Ayayi had 18 rebounds. We needed every one of them.

Ayayi for a cool head and high energy throughout the game.

We needed both Ayayi and Suggs to win.

I suspect Suggs with 7 3 pointers and 27 total point will get a lot of votes, but my vote goes to Joel Ayayi with his 18 rebounds and 6 assists. Both Joel and Jalen are worth of player of the game honors

Suggs for his first half, but Ayayi for the game. Has Gonzaga ever had a guard get 18 rebounds? I also can’t forget how many turnovers Suggs had down the stretch.

    From Jon Rothstein on twitter:

Win or lose, Gonzaga's decision to schedule Virginia next Saturday is genius by Mark Few.

    Why?

Like Iowa and West Virginia, the Cavaliers play a distinct style that will better prepare Gonzaga for the NCAA Tournament.
Tip of the Santa cap to Coach Few and his staff for getting today's " W" under challenging circumstances.

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday !

I have to say that I love Ayayi and his hustle on the glass, but Suggs nearly single handedly put this game away in the first half with his 3s, steals and running of the team

Ayayi: Good to see that fellow Zags award this to Ayayi for his toughness and cool. 18 rebounds, 5 of them offensive, and a few of those he scored on put-backs. For his cool and maturity as he just always seems to be so poised. I thought his toughness on D against Garza at times was also outstanding.

For toughness I give it to the Zags for their effort for diving to floor to get the loose balls. Watson was especially tough on the floor dives but so was Suggs.

Suggs first half performance was awesome. He was one who seemed tired the second half.

Suggs had an amazing first half, and that won the game. However, he looked tired in the second half.

Ayayi is just consistently good. He is everywhere.

Joel made his mark big time today. Great TEAM win. Not bad for a bunch of out of shape dudes.

Honorable mention to Anton. He played physicality against Garza, made Luka work for everything.

He’s definitely back from his shoulder problem.

Suggs staked the Zags to a lead large enough to secure the win with a full stat line.

That's why I voted for Suggs. He put the game away in the 1st half.

Nope. Tied for 5th all time. Although it doesn’t look like they kept good records “back in the day”

Heytfelt had 22. Against a Pepp team that was decimated by injuries to their bigs as I recall.
