If you said we would lose Suggs for a big chunk of the game and he wouldn't have more than 4 points, I would have predicted a loss to the Mountaineers.

Instead others stepped up: Nembhard, Ayayi, Timme, and Kispert, leading the Zags to an 87 -82 win.

Zags 15-21 from the line, outscored WV 60-30 in the paint, had 25 fast break points, and committed 11 TO's to WV's 15.

Since I can't vote for two, Nembhard by a hair but it's a tie with Ayayi. I think Ayayi is underrated.

The box score changed a rebound to a steal. Also, he hit 10 of 15. Nembhard was the emotional choice with Suggs going down, but Ayayi was all over the court tonight making plays.

I was amazed and delighted with Suggs character and grit in returning from his injury as well.

My emotional reaction while watching the game was Nembhard. Then I looked at the stats and Ayayi had a great all around game scoring, rebounding, assists, steals and my vote goes to Joel.

Great game for Nembhard. I had questions about him coming into this game. It was really good to see what he can do. He did look like an All-American.

As good as Nembhard was, Ayayi was better IMO. Joel is always clutch in the last ten minutes of the game . Coaching staff made great adjustments at the half.

- agree, and i might add so far this season, up to the point that suggs got hurt, i was unimpressed with nembhard, in fact disappointed.
- but after suggs went down, he truly did play marvelously.

he scored the most baskets that mattered in crunch time.

Nembhard. His stat line was nearly as great as Ayayi’s, and his leadership steadied and righted a team stunned by the painful exit by injured teammate Suggs, the team’s spark plug. Then, Nembhard became their spark plug! With Suggs return, the Zags will be a handful for the winner of Baylor and Illinois, which should exhaust both teams.

Too me it was easy call. Nembhard and it wasn’t close. He ran the team like he’d been in the system for three years, not three games.

Without Nembhard, we lose this game. He made tough plays during the early part of the second half when this team came back to take the lead. Ayayi made the biggest plays during the closing minutes. I voted for Ayayi, but Nembhard proved his worth in this one.

Although I gave my vote to Nembhard, Ayayi made a number of key plays down the stretch.

Also thought Ballo stepped up tonight and showed his potential.
