I just don't see West V being able to score more than us, even if they do pull off a defensive miracle. GU 88, WVA 70

85-67. Suggs leading the way with a 25 point explosion, Timmer will have 22, and Kispert 19.

Kenpom has them rated 5th now. Might be a tougher game than some think.

    Go Zags!
Not sure any metrics are terribly accurate after 2 to 3 games.

That being said... I expect it to be a grinder. But Huggins will still be winless against Few

Not to be 'that guy,' but I think Huggins beat Few in 1999. As I recall Cincinnati was #1 in the country led by Kenyon Martin. I still vaguely remember a Casey Calvary stare down with someone after dunking on them. And I remember it being a relatively close game. Anyway, no losses to Huggins since!

Yeah, I think Martin gave Casey some stitches in the eyebrow, IIRC.

We don't really press anymore -- Press Virginia left with Jevon Carter and crew. I think we have a zone press that we can bust out on occasion, but I don't remember seeing it yet this year. We'll try to play very physical, but it'll mostly be in the half court.

Be that guy... my memory isn't what it was. that being said... Huggins hasn't beaten Few in 20+ years

I hate grinders. I hope this doesn’t turn into one, but it very well could.

    Let’s go with:

I was wondering. I watched a good portion of two of the games and never saw them press at all. Saving it?

Ha! I don't think so, but if we let you guys get out to a big lead early, it's hard to tell what Huggs will bust out to try to slow you down.

    - i'd like to see if we can hold even on rebounding
    - wvu's three bigs combine for 26 rebounds!

    - reborn had my pick first, so instead i will go with 84-73, as he says this might be a tight game.

    - oh and that final answer was zags 84, wvu 73, assume the rules require that clarification

Zags' plethora of ball handlers shred the HillBilly press early on. Suggs abuses rim more than once. Huggy goes to Plan B, but "Few's good men" stave off a couple of spirited Mountaineer runs.

Hope to see Zags heat up from 3 point stripe (40% maybe?) in this one and Watson get untracked with 10 pts and half a dozen caroms. Ballo: Luv the guy's upside, but not quite ready for prime time just yet.
