that came from a little outta nowhere...there'd been rumors of zag involvement but normally i get notice via my fiba connections on the internationals, but not this time.
i'm guessing being back in china and unable to return to windermere prep had something to do with it...moved up the expected timeline.

does this say anything about chet holmgren???

Saw this on ESPN as well and was surprised there were no threads when I first checked the board.
Says he's reclassifying to 2021, but I still don't think it really means anything about Holmgren.

Maybe to put on weight, but his game looks extremely mature for a sophomore to me, though admittedly its hard for me to judge high school players. This was the first time I watched some tape on him and was really impressed.

If Holmgren wants to commit it'll work itself out...also with the expectation being that Suggs will be a 1 & done that would open up a scholarship spot as well.

Agree this signing doesn’t impact Holmgren recruitment imo because Fanbo reclassifying suggests his first year would be spot minutes and player development focus (if not RS) while, hopefully, Holmgren shines during his likely one and done season.

Looking at the schollie chart though and assuming one or both of Suggs and Ayayi go pro, Zags need another guard for 2021-22.

Didn’t the NCAA implement a rule saying no winter sport athlete would lose a year of eligibility? If so, I would think Aaron Cook would be a good candidate to come back for another senior year in 2021/22.

it's definitely a new zag world...few & staff have never previously gone overslot before, so bringing in another 2021 recruit without an existing open schollie would be breaking new ground
