When was the last time Washington State had a Division 1 collegiate team NOT named Gonzaga ranked #1 in any sport? (I really don't know. There may be some minor sports, but no major ones.)

How high did they get ranked in 2005 in hoops? They were a 1-seed, so they would have been close. Other than that I don't know if the Huskies have ever really threatened for the #1 spot in hoops.

We'd have to look back to the early 90s for Football, I think.

UW Women's softball has had some great teams. I think they were #1 from start to finish one season.

Rowing? I don't know much about the other sports.
