    Default Gonzaga Vs Kansas Predictions

    Lets get this season going!

I unfortunately think we start off with a loss but rebound friday. This team is a final 4 contender.

We struggle with the outside shot and show some rust with all the new players. Hope I'm wrong.

I for one will be shocked if Kansas beats the Zags. In fact, lets just say my bank account prior to tipoff will be a few hundred less.

Talent wise, GU has more talent than KU. Garret is good, but his calling card is defense. Mccormack (7 ppg), Ajbaji is ok (10 ppg last year), braun is ok.. Thompson is a 5* recruit.

I really dont see us losing this game. KU doesnt have the scoring to contend with GU. Garret maybe can shut down kispert or suggs, but the zags have a lot more firepower to keep the pressure on.

Whatever the Vegas line is, add 10 to it for the new look Zags.

Yeah, but our freshman PG will be playing in his first NCAA game, against one of the best teams in the country.

I would like to guarantee a victory by picking Kansas (like when I picked Duke in Maui 2 years ago)

But I think that our experience (except at guard) wins out

    Z 85
    K 81

VERY tight game with LOTS OF MISTAKES by both teams. Probably a lot of defensive breakdowns.

101 to 83 Zags. High scoring because I don't think defenses are developed yet. I also think with our aggressive style of play we will have a couple of their players in foul trouble.

Individually all our guys are high caliber. No doubt. The question is how well did they adapt to Few’s system with limited off season meetings, practices and the like. The leadership of Kispert and Timme will help settle nerves and aides second half adjustments.

I just wish the guys actually had a cupcake to open the season before starting this front-loaded schedule - am I correct that there are no exhibitions either?

What the heck is "Rock Chalk" anyway?

Wikipedia says: The chant was first adopted by the university's science club in 1886. Chemistry professor E.H.S. Bailey and his colleagues were returning by train to Lawrence after a conference. During their travel, they discussed a need of a rousing yell. They came up with "Rah, Rah, Jayhawk, Go KU",[1] repeated three times, which later became "Rock Chalk Jayhawk Go KU".

    Yea Go Science Club!
