Kispert is listed as a small forward but he can do more than that for the Zags, who will look to recapture last season's dominance on the way to, ideally, a No. 1 seed. Kispert would have likely been drafted in the second round had he stayed in the NBA pool. Instead, he returns to Mark Few's program and is poised to average close to 20 points. Kispert's a high-level 3-point shooting (43.8%) and should thrive in a go-go-go Gonzaga O.

Congratulations Corey. Hope you pick up a bunch of these POST season.
This post is for March Madness seeding purposes only.
Congratulations to CK!
High water mark to date for Gonzaga men’s basketball:
-Preseason All American on roster
-Consensus Top 5 preseason ranking
- #1 ranked recruiting class in program history
- Marquee matchup vs Kansas for CBS‘ nationally televised opening game of the season
- In the mix and presumptive favorite (?) to land current #1 ranked player in high school
It is their time....their team...I just get to watch. - Bartruff1
Corey has worked his *ss off and it is great to see this recognition for him.

I hope this season we'll see a more offensively aggressive and confident Corey Kispert. He had a nice season last year, but personally I think it would be nice to see him create his own shot more. He has always done well within the flow of the offense, but hopefully when things break down we'll see him take the ball and score like past Zag All Americans.
"You miss 100% of the shots you don't take."

We don’t see our kids as First team AA often. He’s a tough kid and works hard. Does every . Glad he returned but this honor makes people cast they eyes in this school and this program. We just keep growing with kids like Corey. Best wishes and congrats to him and the teams that got him there. It’s a big deal..
Doc ... I've told this story here before and will tell it again as you knew Jim (the late Jim Marsh ... who was Corey's "Friends of Hoops" coach). I was driving Jim around to a couple of meetings (including lunch) and his phone rang. It was Roy Williams and he was calling to talk about Corey. I clearly recall Jim saying "I'll tell you the same thing I told Tony" (Tony Bennett ... who was also heavily recruiting Corey). "Corey is a lot like Joe Harris in that you will have him for four years. He will be All League a couple of times and when all is said and done he will make somebody's All America squad".
A good call by our friend Jim.

Such a good man Jim was. I wonder if his group. Arrived on. I’d like to contribute again. But the deal with Corey is quite heartening. Nice well raised you kid but an ace on the court.
