I'll take 4 years of Gregg over 1 year of Paolo tbh. Though a commitment like Paolo would have been a bigger signal to our program. This is more of a Kispert-type commitment.

    Go zags!

    Default Ben Gregg

Gregg made it official. He announce today (via twitter) that he will be a ZAG. As many have pointed out, he may be the plan B to Banchero but in th e end he will bring more to the program over 3-4 years than Banchero would have in probably the one year he plays in college.

He showed off some balls skills, good mobility and a nice looking shot in that video. Factor in his size and height and he looks like he'd be comfortable just about anywhere on the court.

Agreed...on the offensive end. I wish some of these highlight reels showed some man to man defensive skills. Hope he's good on that end as well.

According to espn he’s the 3rd highest recruit ever (2007) for the Zags. Behind Jalen Suggs and Austin Daye.

    - great get!
    - not too surprised ben choose gonzaga, sure our offer came late, but as they say that is 'business', but even so glad ben didn't feel slighted or offended to the point of giving the zags the cold shoulder.
    - agree with others, a 3-4 yr player is perhaps as good as a one and done.

How cool is it that these days we can get into the mix with a 4 star recruit late in the game and beat out a school like Arizona. That would have never happened 10 years ago.

The bizarre thing to me with Gregg and with Kaden Perry is that they're amazing recruits, and yet they're still somehow "under the radar" because we've also been in on Suggs and Banchero and Holmgren. This is an amazing start to a recruiting class.

Reminds me of Corey Violette with guard skills.

Gregg has some incredible ball skills - his passing ability is special. He seems like he's a bit stuck between being a small forward or a power forward, so it will be really interesting to see how he develops in time. Very excited to have him on board!

Yeah, I don't know anything about anything but looking at his frame he could fill out into a beast.

He looks to be above the rim a lot for a small 4. Like Calvary

I think we've been recruiting him for a couple years, just offered recently. Gregg has done unofficial visits also. Unlike other schools that hand out offers like Halloween candy, GU only offers just a handful of players each year.

Did anybody see the fainting goat attempt to take a charge by one of his opponents in the video clip? Kid must be a Duke fan (not Gregg of course).

    FYI, from Oregon Live:

So to many his commitment to Gonzaga over Arizona, Oregon, Oregon State, Virginia and others on Wednesday may have felt like an inevitability, but the journey to get there was full of twists and turns:
Pretty impressive to beat out those schools.

    Smile How big a "Big?"

So this fan's read that Ben is 6'7", 6'8", 6'9", and 6'10". Which is correct? (I'm guessing 6'8".)

    :]

    (Welcome, Ben!)
    Yeah, we're "The Champs," uh-huh!
