Not seeing this one here, unless I missed it. A Power 5 opponent for the Zags: https://www.wholehogsports.com/news/...zaga-december/

Thanks for the link, Section 116. Like the power conference scheduling. Hope to see you [relatively] soon!

Nice. Arkansas doesn't have much of an interior game, but a good collection of guards (including Oregon St. transfer Destiny Slocum). The Razorbacks will very likely be a ranked team to start the season.

Great OOC game, let's hope the game gets to be played.

Head Coach of Arkansas Wbb is Mike Neighbors who was the head coach at the University of Washington for four years (2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2015-2016 & 2016-2017). Neighbors was hired to replace the departed Kevin McGuff who had been turning around the UW Wbb program but was hired away to go back to his home university the Ohio State.

Neighbors continued the UW turnaround. In his 1st year at UW, the Huskies ended their 58 game losing streak against Stanford. In his second season the Huskies got their first Top-25 ranking and made the NCAA tournament as a #6 seed. In his 3rd season he guided the Huskies to the NCAA tournament as a #7 seed and turned that into their first final 4 spot in the NCAA tournament. In his 4th and final season at UW, the Huskies finished tied for 2nd in the Pac-12 and made it to the Sweet Sixteen.

After his 4th season at UW (after the 2016 - 2017 season), the University of Arkansas persuaded Neighbors to return to his alma mater as head women's basketball coach. While at Arkansas he went 13-18 overall (3-13 in the SEC - 13th Place) in his first season. In his second season Neighbor's lead the Razorbacks to a 22-15 overall (6-10 SEC - 10th Place) where they were invited to the WNIT where they lost in the 3rd round. This past year, Arkansas 24-8 overall (10-6 in the SEC - Tied for 3rd Place).

Good coach, good team (a better team with the transfer of Destiny Slocum) and a great opportunity for the Lady Zags in the OOC.

Let's hope the game is played.

This is just what the GU WBB program needs....

In growing a program.... Neighbors like Fortier knows the quality of the competition is as important as the win/loss record.

    Hopefully the future is bright.

    Go Zags!!
