It appears to me (limited perspective) that Caldwellzag is frustrated because he has good insider info and others have doubts about the outcome Caldwellzag is confident about. Which if you knew you had insider info and others still disagree that could be frustrating. Sort of like....CMON GUYS I HAVE GOOD INFO JUST BELIEVE ME. I don't think either side is trying to frustrate the other. It's just different glasses on and seeing things differently.

I want the info that caldwellzags provides. But I won't be pointing fingers at someone in this thread for forcing him out. Caldwellzag is ultimately the one that must decide to post or not post in an open forum where everyone can voice their opinions and thoughts (many times unfortunately haha).

Caldwellzag - Good luck with the new website! I will miss that insider info. But I will still be rooting for my ZAGS! ZAGUP!

Why is it petty? Pretty much every other power school in country has websites for fans dedicated to paying for such recruiting information. If I were Caldwell, there is no way I would have had the courtesy and or patience to continue to provide free info while continuing to get beaten up for it. I’m in Caldwell, let me know how I pay!

+1. Probably a much bigger hassle running a website. Maybe you make a few bucks but the info will still get out lessening the need for the masses to pay for it.

I'm not going to sugarcoat it. I'm pissed. Caldwell is the only person on this board with any credibility and insight. No disrespect to ZagBlue and i know he does as well but I don't know him like Caldwell. Because of some people on this board who did not appreciate Caldwell and questioned him at every turn - we have now lost our only real go to person who can provide inside information because of his connections that he was willing to give us GU fans for free. It is unfortunate we did not lose the people who have no credibility, are negative, and who did not appreciate this board. But we lose the only person who can help us answer the questions that are most pressing to Gonzaga fans. This is truly unfortunate and sad. Caldwell - you are the man!!! I support you and thank you for everything.

I hope everyone understands it wasn't just the fishing post that lead to this, it's the countless PM's from people are negative about everything. There are great people on this board and I get great PM's from people who I love responding to (you all know who you are as you get PM's back from me). It's also the countless hours of getting on here and giving information out for free, yet having to defend the information I post over and over and over and over again. Yes I could choose not to respond, but then the board goes in full meltdown mode when I haven't responded for a few days (believe me I tried that). I am moving on and will be an inactive member/moderator of this board, so if you want to reach me PM me, if you don't have anything productive or positive to say, don't waste your PM and time.

I am confused on how me starting a website and charging is petty? Don't we live in a capitalistic society that people do this all the time. We are not a socialist society and the free handouts are meant to stop after a period of time. I think what I am doing is the heart of what makes America, America and not many other countries.


Also, on Twitter I hinted that a big part of the new site would be to give back to GU in a form of a scholarship. I am working on the details of how that will work out and the legalities of it. I am not in this to profit, as you have seen the last few years, I am in it for GU and I think this is a time that I can help GU in another way to maybe get more kids to go to a game if they know their books could be paid for or something like that. I think there are enough of us that think today's fans are not what they once were, so here is a shot to give them an incentive to be what we would like them to be. Just a thought and details are not worked out yet.
