Congrats Jalen - how about wCC newcomer of the year next year? And maybe some on the bigger stage?

I can't wait to see Suggs play next year. He looks really great from what I have seen. I am saying the 3 guys in question will all come back. Fingers crossed. With Suggs at PG, Ayayi at SG, Kispert on the wing, Watson at the SF, and Petrusev at PF/C along with Timme, Cook, Harris, Strawther, Ballo, Arlo, and pavel all in the rotation - this team can be promised land special. We have some unfinished from 2017 and this just might be the team to do it. Suggs and the rest of the team are that good. I just hope they can do it in front of their fan base. The Kennel should rock 'n' roll under normal circumstances. Go Zags!!!

One more thing. Sean Farnham from ESPN said that the BYU fans, when they played and beat us during our last game with them, was the LOUDEST he has ever heard any fan base in all of the games he has covered. With Jalen Suggs and the rest of the team leading the way in 2020 - 2021, let's return the favor to Mark Pope and the BYU team. Go Zags!!!!

So true. Team scrimmages would be more competitive than 80% of WCC schedule.

    PG: Suggs / Cook
    SG: Ayayi / Harris
SF: Kispert / Strawther / Arlauskas
    PF: Watson / Timme
    C: Petrusev / Ballo / Zakharov

Meanwhile, Daishen Nix is off to the G league. Guess we recruited the right guy.

I like the use of “us” in his quote about TT.

Folks were quick to discuss how long a drive it was from Minnesota...but no info on whether Suggs is coming or is here? Past 30 June. Are we concerned? Caldwell??

Going to go out on a limb and guess Jalen & family spent the day settling into his dorm & other freshmen stuff yesterday.

Everything is fine. The world is not ending.

Caldwell is retiring due to having to answer the same question over and over and over and over and over. Sorry I forgot to put my GPS tracker on Jalen, but again for the millionth time Jalen's plan is to be a Zag.

Caldwell, FWIW, when I read the fishing post it was very clear he was making fun of your critics not you. Read it again with that in mind. Even on an online forum to write that post and be serious one would have to be truly unhinged.

I hope in time you’ll reconsider. You are on of the few reasons I read this forum daily. Thanks for all you have given us.

I think this is right on.

    Also:

I only really check recruiting news for Caldwellzag opinion.

It appears to me (limited perspective) that Caldwellzag is frustrated because he has good insider info and others have doubts about the outcome Caldwellzag is confident about. Which if you knew you had insider info and others still disagree that could be frustrating. Sort of like....CMON GUYS I HAVE GOOD INFO JUST BELIEVE ME. I don't think either side is trying to frustrate the other. It's just different glasses on and seeing things differently.

I want the info that caldwellzags provides. But I won't be pointing fingers at someone in this thread for forcing him out. Caldwellzag is ultimately the one that must decide to post or not post in an open forum where everyone can voice their opinions and thoughts (many times unfortunately haha).

Caldwellzag - Good luck with the new website! I will miss that insider info. But I will still be rooting for my ZAGS! ZAGUP!

Caldwell you are greatly appreciated & I hope you will stick around.

Use the IGNORE option. I've used it for years & it's helped me remain (relatively) sane.

All this because people question the arrival of our most coveted recruit? Listen, Caldwell, I get you’re frustrated but if you don’t like a question, don’t address it. You provide us great information and we’re all appreciative of the tips, but none of this changes the outcome of who we actually recruit or land. Post. Don’t post. But it seems a little petty to try and charge people for inside info you get from sources inside the program. I’ll eagerly await the announcements on Twitter. I hope you stick around, your tips were the only reason so many of us check the board in the off-season.

Why is it petty? Pretty much every other power school in country has websites for fans dedicated to paying for such recruiting information. If I were Caldwell, there is no way I would have had the courtesy and or patience to continue to provide free info while continuing to get beaten up for it. I’m in Caldwell, let me know how I pay!

+1. Probably a much bigger hassle running a website. Maybe you make a few bucks but the info will still get out lessening the need for the masses to pay for it.

(PSA this is not meant as a political statement although there are political references it is more a question and statement of why I don't feel it's petty)

I am confused on how me starting a website and charging is petty? Don't we live in a capitalistic society that people do this all the time. We are not a socialist society and the free handouts are meant to stop after a period of time. I think what I am doing is the heart of what makes America, America and not many other countries.

Also, on Twitter I hinted that a big part of the new site would be to give back to GU in a form of a scholarship. I am working on the details of how that will work out and the legalities of it. I am not in this to profit, as you have seen the last few years, I am in it for GU and I think this is a time that I can help GU in another way to maybe get more kids to go to a game if they know their books could be paid for or something like that. I think there are enough of us that think today's fans are not what they once were, so here is a shot to give them an incentive to be what we would like them to be. Just a thought and details are not worked out yet.

I hope everyone understands it wasn't just the fishing post that lead to this, it's the countless PM's from people are negative about everything. There are great people on this board and I get great PM's from people who I love responding to (you all know who you are as you get PM's back from me). It's also the countless hours of getting on here and giving information out for free, yet having to defend the information I post over and over and over and over again. Yes I could choose not to respond, but then the board goes in full meltdown mode when I haven't responded for a few days (believe me I tried that). I am moving on and will be an inactive member/moderator of this board, so if you want to reach me PM me, if you don't have anything productive or positive to say, don't waste your PM and time.
