Best Zags by the Numbers - 15

Number 15 is a little better. There are several notable players. I think it will be interesting to see what criteria we all use to select the best of the group. Let's nominate!
    41
    Rem Bakamus
    2.44%
    1
    Brandon Clarke
    65.85%
    27
    John Rillie
    4.88%
    2
    Matty B
    26.83%
    11

    The poll is expired.

Honorable Mention: John Rillie shot the Zags into their first NCAA Tournament.
“No team in the country has a better winning percentage against power conference teams since 2017 than Gonzaga... the Zags are playing above average teams in the best leagues in the country and winning 78% of the time.”

Willie moss also pretty decent back in the day from what I’ve read.

Also for the oldies, this photo of the 1976-77 team looks pretty cool. Standing right next to Willie is Reed Schifferman. One of the best dunkers in GU history

Basketball team for the academic year 1976-1977. Back row, left to right: Douglas A. Steck, John K. Holstein, Robert Fossum, Ronald D. Amann, Curtis A. Rettenmier, Phillip J. Paramore, Stanley M. Veatch, Willie R. Moss, Reed P. Schifferman, James M. Grady, Ross E. Rettenmier, Randy Scott Lea, James DeWeese, Scott M. Finnie. Front row: Dwayne A. Jones, Assistant Coach, AdrianBuoncristiani, Head Coach, Robert McIver, Assistant Coach, Stu Morrill, Head Assistant Coach. The photograph was also published in Spires 1977, p. 104

The Floyds both wore the 15, as did Alex Hernandez.

I have been going through those same archives. That is pretty fun looking up the players and their stats.

May have to do a poll for them as well!

                            Oh MAN. That's tough.

I think I am going to lean 51% for the Bouldergeist, and 49% Clarke.

Recency bias led me to vote for BC. He was an absolute monster last year! Insanely dominant in his lone season.

No disrespect intended to the other candidates. Bouldin is one of the all-time Zags in my book.
