Averaged 15 PPG this past season, looks like he got a medical redshirt and thus will be immediately eligible. 6'2 guard.
Thoughts?

Great fit. Doesn’t have to be a star. Can be an electric slasher and defender off the bench. Known for his defense but finishes with ease too.
Suggs/cook
Ayayi/Harris
Kispert/strawther/arlauskas
Watson/ timme
Petrusev/ballo/zacharov
Never been more excited about a season than I am next year.
Perfect back up point guard option. We really needed the added experience in the back court.

Pretty sure Cook, Harris, Strawther, Timme and Ballo finish 2nd in the WCC next year. Probably even push for the top spot a bit. We have to be hands down the favorite to win it all assuming everybody stays/shows up.

He looks like a great passer. And on top of that, as near as I could tell, he shoots about 100% from the field by.

Me too. I've left my house once in the past 26 days. I drove around a bit, didn't get out of my car, and didn't speak or make contact with anyone.
On topic, I hope this is another guy that is okay fitting in with a loaded team and not a sign that someone is leaving or not coming.
Lol jazzy I think being a wet blanket is ingrained into your essence.
I'm absolutely pumped. He wasn't on my radar because he wasn't on torvik's transfer portal but he looks like a perfect fit. As talented as Suggs/Harris are, freshmen can have growing pains so it's a really nice luxury to have another experienced guard.
His highlight video vs Kentucky was great. Can get downhill to the rim, good facilitator and looks like plus defender that can get steals and get out in transition. Perfect complimentary piece.
If all come back, GU can roll out a 2015 kentucky-style hockey line change and throw 2 waves of really good players at you.
Oh jazz - you are, predictably, too much.
Welcome to Gonzaga, Mr Aaron Cook. Thank you for making your decision to finish your basketball career at Gonzaga.
After watching video of Cook, I can see why Few signed him. I like how he attacks the rim, much like Gilder and AYAYI did. AND he passes the ball like Woolridge did. That's a good sign for a point guard. 64% from the free throw line, is not good. I hope he works on that. I think Few went after him for the same reason he went after Woolridge and Gilder, he's very good on defense. The Zags must improve their defense next year, and I think they can.
Looking forward to seeing Cook in a Zags uni.
Go Zags!!!
Go Zags!!! The Best Is Yet To Come!!!
- cool to see his twitter photo as a zag, wearing number 10.
- hope he channels his inner walt fraizer, who played at southern illinois. (number 10 as a knick)
- walt fraizer has been and forever will be my all time favorite basketball player.
- the man could do it all, score when needed, and play defense.
- welcome on board mr. cook, zag for life!
dude can play for sure, but where we're going to be seeing the most benefit is from his maturity and experience. Those are the two things Ive been harping on needing for next year and we just got a heck of a boost.
