20 under-the-radar freshmen for the 20-21 season
"Jabe Mullins, Saint Mary’s: The Gaels have been known for unearthing hidden gems under Randy Bennett and Mullins could be next in line. The four-star guard has the requisites to be a star in the WCC and should be terrific in Saint Mary’s guard heavy style that always allows for the perfect blend of autonomy and discipline."

i am happy for the Gaels but,
living inside Zag Nation, I looked for Ballo or Anton and was surprised to not see one of them on the list.
By April I expect (if the plague allows) he would have been forced to put one or both of these on his his list
retrospectively.
Why would Anton be on a list of of under the radar Freshmen for this upcoming season??

I don't know that I'd say good for anyone participating in this tourney with South Dakota a Covid hot bed ....
From the Memphis Commercial Appeal: https://www.commercialappeal.com/sto...ic/6174961002/
Ohio State, slated to play the Tigers on Nov. 25 at the Crossover Classic in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, withdrew from the tournament Thursday.
The Buckeyes reportedly decided to opt out "due to the positivity rate and the 14-day quarantine required upon return to Ohio," according to The Columbus Dispatch's Adam Jardy. Utah already pulled out of the tournament this week and was replaced by South Dakota State. Duke was also part of the original field, but the Blue Devils dropped out last month and were replaced by DAccording to the Sioux Falls Argus Leader, the South Dakota Department of Health reported the highest one-day total of COVID-19 deaths as the state surpassed 50,000 total reported infections Thursday. I'm not an insider, so I dont know what's in this article, but I was wondering why Randy Bennett is included with Self, Dabo, and Emoni Bates for the picture.
Technically --- ex-opponent this year- but hopefully next year will be back on.

I see that Mason Landdeck (current high school senior) has signed with Eastern Washington University. Hopefully, the Zags will schedule them next season as a non-con game; this kid has mad skills and it would be nice if the game were on ROOT so all of Washington State can see him play.

BYU and Saint Mary’s both get a shot at San Diego State in December
Baylor's head coach, Scott Drew, announced today he tested positive for COVID-19. He will be sitting out two weeks. I think that means he won't be present at our game on 12/5.

Arizona State is withdrawing from the Empire Classic due to medical concerns involving Baylor, per source. Sun Devils were slated to open with Bears. Still a chance ASU plays at Mohegan Sun with different matchups.

To me Bruce Pearl is the slimiest coach in the game. Every time I hear him talk or watch him coach I feel like I need a shower.
More Auburn news. Sounds like they likely won't have their star freshman PG this week.

"Auburn star freshman Sharife Cooper hasn't practiced in recent weeks for the Tigers while he awaits the findings of an NCAA investigation into his eligibility, sources told ESPN.
Cooper's representatives have contacted professional teams in Europe and Australia should the NCAA not clear him to play this season, sources told ESPN. A source said Cooper's desire is to remain at Auburn this season, but that might not be a possibility if the NCAA doesn't certify him to play.
Cooper, a 6-foot point guard from McEachern High School (Georgia), was a McDonald's All-American and five-star recruit in the 2020 class. He was ranked No. 20 in the ESPN 100 and was expected to start immediately at the point guard spot for Auburn this season."
Tennessee and Rick Barnes the latest positive test of teams on the zag schedule. This season, if it happens, is going to be a wild ride.
