He had a hard time staying on the floor, but made a few good plays when he was in there.

I went with Timme. I thought his play kept the team close in the first half and helped set the stage for the team to shine in the second. They were able to play loose in the second half and that helped some threes go in, in my opinion-- this probably would have been a grind to the end if they had to play catch up in the second half

Would anyone one make it to the podium? I'm picturing five guys sprawled out on the ground blaming one another for knocking each of the them down.

I wanted to like Seljaas because he plays hard and gets some points for looking like Nicholas Cage in Raising Arizona (one of my favorite movies), but after last night I'm hoping the Lone Biker of the Apocalypse matches up with him in the next game.

My vote went to Drew Timme. As others have noted, his stellar low post play on offense late in 1st half flipped the momentum of the game to the Zags.

Kudos also to Ayayi and Petrusev for strong performances. Shout out to the coaches for the defensive adjustment on Ford immediately at the start of 2nd half. Totally disrupted the Gael offense.

And Zags had only 6 turnovers for the game!!

Strong cases could be made for Petrusev, Ayayi, and Timme but Petro got my vote over Joel and Drew

I voted "other" for the coach who thought up the 2nd half defensive wrinkle that shut Ford down and produced several turnovers. It wasn't just that they doubled Ford, it was the timing. They waited until he was iso'd and couldn't just re-screen, so it was really a trap rather than a simple double off the high screen. Ford's teammates kept trying to run offense instead of going to the ball and the Zags' length was creating havoc with tipped balls when Ford tried to pass out of the trap. I'd have to rewatch to see where the trap was coming from. Maybe one of our more observant posters will chime in with a more thorough analysis.

Petro did play really well. He did what I think Few wanted him to do, and that was to pass out of the double team. He led the team in assists by far, and he had 14 rebounds, 4 of them on the offensive boards. We can't forget the importance of rebounding. The Zags killed the Gaels on the boards, 36 to 21. Petro was working his butt off. And he also made 4 of 5 shots. That's 80% I think. I thought his passing out of the double team was by far the best I've seen from him. Like others, I really enjoyed how he played.

    Go Zags!!!

is there a season point total?
I'll bet it is some of the same guys who know BB so well, that would be among the top, year after year,
and I know, I would not be in that group.
But these threads sure are fun, and I look forward to figuring out my favorite for each game.
