Jeter & Walker voted into HOF

The National Baseball Hall of Fame has two new members. Tuesday night, Yankees legend Derek Jeter and five-tool threat Larry Walker were announced as the newest Hall of Famers during a live MLB Network broadcast.

Bonds & Clemons were on less than 62% of the submitted ballots. . .75% is required.

I'm surprised Larry Walker got enough votes, but good for him. Always liked him as a player. Jeter is simultaneously overrated and an obvious first ballot Hall of Famer. Interesting that one person didn't vote for him - curious if that was because they wanted to vote for 10 others, knowing he'd get in anyway, or what. Schilling looks likely to get in next year or the year after, Bond & Clemons are looking much less likely.
