Because he was the only Weber player in that era to make the NBA.
He played for 3 years (never for the Lakers) and was 6'1".
Weber St had three high flyers in that era; Justus Thigpen, Sessions Harlan and Willie Sojourner. IIRC their coach was pretty good too, Dick Motta who had a pretty good NBA run.

    From Jim Meehan, via twitter:

Gonzaga's Filip Petrusev (ankle) expected to be a game-day decision vs. Pacific on Saturday. Extra couple of days to recover with no game Thursday, but practice time has been limited

The fact that he is practicing at all is a positive sign. I expect him to play limited minutes tomorrow.

10 bucks his practice time was Mark Few walking him over to the Free Throw line and telling him: "I want you two to get to know each other better. I'll leave you two alone."

Petrusev not needed; extra six days of rest and healing. Timme, get your points average to 10 ppg.

Had some time, so dug into the numbers a bit deeper. While no doubt Filip will be practicing FT's during his recovery period, Woolridge and Timme should be right beside him. Filip attempts twice as many FT's as Wooly and Timme, so there may be more payoff if he can bump up his FT Make percentage. However Filip's "make percentage" is significantly better than Wooly and Timme so far:

Free Throw Stats 2019-20 thru BYU Game:

FT Percentage Made Petro 67.6% Timme 60.0% Wooly 58.8%
    FT Made/Attempts: Petro 94-139 Timme 42-70 Wooly 30-51
Zags' Team Percentage Made: 67.6% (345 of 510)
    Opponent Percentage Made: 67.1% (188 of 280)

Quite the discrepancy in the frequency with which the Zags get to the line as compared to opposition. We're picking up about 7 1/2 pts every game over our opposition. Still, 70% FT makes would seem a reasonable team goal for the #1 or 2 team in the country. GO ZAGS!!!!!

Don't know that Heister is gone, but I liked the chemistry with tonight's "troika" much better!

I think Heister might be in Alaska covering the Iditarod? He does that each year and I think it is around this time? I stand corrected, Iditarod not until March. I don't think we've seen the last of Heister this season?
