WSU is hot from 3 point land. Unlikely they can maintain that.

WSU about to beat #8 Oregon, the only (currently) ranked team we've beat.

There's a curse this year - if you play GU, you will get much, much worse after that game.

UW, AZ, MICH, and UNC sank like stones after our games.

With Smith at WSU, the Zags really should get them back on the schedule again.

What do I know. WSU was very short handed and still pulled out the win. Smith sure looks to be on the right track.

Seton Hall is probably really glad they missed GU. They seem to be doing okay as the season progresses.

Close Dad and it is possible that they have changed the name since I matriculated. Back in the day they were known as the "Stags" the acronym of St Aloysius Grade School I believe they were given the name when they built the school over on Mission St after moving from behind St Als Church.

PAC finishes off Portland 65-55. Pepp just covers the 7.5 spread 75-67.

Rutgers wins their 14th game (matching last year's season total), defeating Pitino's Golden Gophers,

Scarlet Knights are 13 - 0 at home and tied with Illinois for second place in the Big Ten at 5 -2.

Football day today. My comment is a bit off-topic, but please indulge me.

Been a Packer fan since Paul Hornung was kicking PAT's and playing halfback (that's a combo you'll not see again!). Can you imagine Marshawn Lynch kicking extra points?

Thanks, Zagazags, for the photo from Super Bowl I played in the LA Coliseum. That venerable stadium is nearing it's 100th birthday having opened in 1923. I noticed the old-style goal post in the background with 2 side post supports. That's where the term "post pattern" came from whereby a wide receiver would basically run a slant and use one of the posts to "pick" off the pass defender.

My heart is with the Pack, but my head says the 'Niners cruise to victory today.
