Childs did not play in that game. Their only loss with Childs was @ utah in overtime and he got hurt mid way through that game. They were whooping Utah when he was in there. With a healthy squad i will not be shocked at all to see them in the sweet 16 this year.

Go Zags ! Beat the Cougars.
GU - 89 BYU - 74
This is a tough one to predict... Was thinking earlier this season that this may be a home loss for the Zags - but that was before Child's exited again, and before the Zags easily handled a whole host of tough teams.

Zags by 20. FT's continue to improve. Defense improves. Getting ready for the Tournament. We need that.

Never seen so many divergent score predictions.
I think BYU will finally play defense, and play harder without Childs, though not as well.
They will stick with us quite a while.
But our guys will be jacked to play a semi-meaningful game.

I want to see Killian just rain 3s like he's capable, and really demonstrate he's alpha dog on this team.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.

Prefer Childs play. Cheap victories do nothing to harden Zags for p-season. Tils slump gotta end at some point. Looking forward to seeing Gilder continue to impact. Hope Marty gets meaningful PT, not blowout mins. Love to see lineup of Tils at 5, Kispert at 4, and three guards. Swift. Passing. Strength of this team has become its guards, though national blue blooded pundits continue to say bigs.
I have no idea how this one is going to play out. So, I asked the wife. Her quick clairvoyant response, “86-84 but I don’t know which team comes out on top.” So, since we balance each other I’ll take her numbers and add that the Zags win a wild one.
Will need Timme to continue his solid play. Would love to see Arlaukas shine when his minutes present. Go Zags!
Gollum 14. Kispert 22
Let's compromise and say the strength of the team is it's big guards. But seriously, with Petro, an emerging Timme and a recovering Tille, the bigs still have to be reckoned with. We'll sure miss Watson but the frontcourt cupboard is far from bare. The top 3 scorers are all bigs. I'd say the strength of this team is its balance. There are 6 players averaging double-figures and Timme is at 9.5 and will probably soon join the rest, given he'll take most of Watson's minutes. How do you game-plan to stop a GU team with so many weapons?

Yoeli Childs is out tonight.
Just saw this tweet re: BYU,
Talented team, different animal than we have seen thus far.BYU basketball has 8 players who were 4-star players in high school:
Yoeli Childs
TJ Haws
Alex Barcello
Connor Harding
Kolby Lee
Gavin Baxter (redshirting)
Wyatt Lowell (redshirting)
Jesse Wade (injured)
Also, Jake Toolson, was an AP All-America Honorable Mention last season with Utah Valley.
They shoot 40% from 3pt as a team.
BYU hits their open shots unlike any team we have faced besides Michigan.
UW to a certain inconsistent extent.
All the teams we have beaten arent that good of shooting teams.
Michigan is, Oregon solid, yet none as good as BYU.
Without Childs they aren't nearly as balanced yet still have skilled size inside, underrated strength.
With Childs, they are a Top 20 type squad.
We will have to bring our best defensively. It will be a scoring affair.
Should be a fun one!

And Jaz I would have to say many bigs in the country would love to have the stats that you say Tillie needs to improve. He takes his open threes to make sure that they respect him and open up the middle. Shooting about 37 percent from three and then overall about 47. He is working on other aspects of his game to help the team. Just my opinion.
