Toolson 28, Childs 26: Toolson hit 6-8 from behind the 3 point line. Childs is back and played great obviously. I have picked BYU to make the Final 4 so I"m happy with their route of Pacific. They were close at halftime, and BYU blew them out the 2nd half. Hawes only had 9 on 2-4 shooting. Toolson hurt Gonzaga too, but not this bad. He could be a real problem next time we play them. BYU shot 50% from behind the arc. 9-18. They are a very good 3 point shooting team, but struggled against the Zags. One other important thing is the game was at Pacific.

St mary's must have played great defense. Holding a team to 48 points is GREAT. Peppperdine 1-2 from the foul line. St Mary's 13-19. Kind of tells us the whole story. San Fran 7-24 from behind the arc (29%). St Mary's 5-14 for 35%. San Fran shoots a lot of 3's. Watch out for them when they play at home. They were at St Mary's tonight.

I watched the game.SF ran the shot clock down, lots of perimeter passing, and the jacked up a 3 to avoid the shot clock. They didn't look very good...but SMC didn't look very good either, for most of the game.

I worry that any team can win, but neither team looked that good.

I was watching UW v Utah. The Dawgs were dominating in the last 5 and turned it off. Came back and the Utes rallied. Stewart and McDaniels are talented, but they will jump to nba next year without playing in NCAA tournament. Quade Green was playing great, but the wheels fell off when he became academically ineligible. A lot of talent over at Montlake, but I am not complaining

SF out rebounded SMC but had 17 TOs compared to SMC’s 8. SF certainly had possessions so SMC D must have been OK enough.
The more I see the other WCC scores and performances the more I feel the Zags will run the table. However, a few away games yet and Childs is back playing well for BYU. I’d better not be counting chickens .... and hope SF doesn’t get hot handed on 3s @ home (and Zags not playing good 3 D while there).

I'm kinda having a hard time seeing UW is significantly different under Hopkins than Romar at this point. Last year was nice, but now they are back to underachieving w/ a bunch of young talent.

The UW women's team has a bad habit of squandering double digit leads this year too. And football team lost several games they were leading by 2 scores. Not really a great year to be a Husky. At least volleyball had a fairly good season and they have big expectations for their softball team.

I don't think Huskies losing close games comes down to "luck" or being "unlucky" I saw the last half of Utah game and Huskies played terrible and what a shame to not play up to the standard of the good coach they now have. Looks like Romar, but I don't blame their current coach. Except for Steward all the other players think they are entitled and that's why they can't withstand tough play like Utah displayed.
