    Okay, wait, we're supposed to believe that the number 1 team in the country scored 22 points in 20 minutes of basketball?

    Dreadful to watch. Brick, brick, pass, pass, bad pass, brick, turnover. Jeez.

    Texas looks horrific offensively. Outside of dunks, they barely hit the net from anywhere beyond one foot from the basket. That said, Baylor looks barely better than Texas on offense.

    Duke got a lot of favorable calls down the stretch vs. FSU (no surprise).

    I just turned on the game but I have liked Hepa’s energy on the court in the past when I’ve seen him.

    Make that 29 points in 27 minutes.

    UT has 5 minutes to make up a 10 pt deficit.

    Feels like 20 for a team so challenged offensively.

    We can knock UT all day long, but it is Baylor that has them at 35 points with 35 mins of basketball already played. A team can win a lot of games keeping the score that low.

    It is terrible to watch.

    * I want nothing to do with Florida State again, short of the final title game. Just such an odd team that doesn't match up with us, or anyone else, well.

    Texas has no chance IMO. Can't beat Baylor with all the dribbling they're doing. You beat Baylor with ball movement, create open shots. Longhorns doing neither of those.

    I was looking forward to this game. Shaka is not the coach for UT.
    I watched both Baylor vs Tex games this year. I watched Texas some last year and vs GU in the PK 80.

    Their offense never seemed designed to accomplish an overall strategy or game plan. Nothing but a variety of disjointed high level athletes playing iso ball and/or dribbling around and taking low percent deep jumpers. Even when they had Mo Bamba they failed to utilize his talents in a systematic way.

    Not expecting much from New Mexico, but maybe? Will tune in for a few moments anyway because I haven’t seen SDSU yet

    Maybe, but doubtful. Seems the majority of pundits are saying SDSU won't lose again - but I see two road tests that I expect will be challenges. At Boise St. who is 11-1 at home. And at Nevada who is 11-2 at home. Yes, neither are world beaters but teams and home crowds have a way of raising their game when a top 5 ranked and undefeated team are visiting. I'm thinking they drop one of those.

    Well put, LTown.

    Their new hoops facility is in the range of $350 million, a cost only a school like UT could afford. Boosters are not going to pay through the nose to watch a team that goes to the NIT at the end of the year.

    The bells are tolling for Shaka (and Tom Herman, the football coach). UT fans have been quite patient over the past 12-18 months, but I sense that's coming to an end.

    I just can't get over how pedestrian Texas' offense is. On top of that, the ESPN local afternoon show started out talking about Baylor, followed by how "lousy" college basketball is this year. So be it, but to bring Duke into the conversation, with no mention of the Zags, is journalistic laziness. I'm sending an "informative" email to the two hosts (one of whom is a Buckeye) regarding our Zags.

    The analytics also suggest, taken individually, they will win each of their remaining games (per Torvik):

    UNM 96%
    @BSU 81%
    UNLV 95%
    CSU 92%
    @UNR 73%

    Although taken in sum, they are predicted currently to finish 28-1 overall. In other words, add up all the probabilities of their remaining games, and it's >50% probability that they drop one.

    FWIW, the Zags are in a similar situation, predicted to win each, but in sum to drop one as well.

    Whatever fighting spirit remained after Old Roy called his team the least talented Tar Heels squad he has ever coached got completely squelched by Duke.

    I also think zags drop one @ BYU - that game will be tough.

    SDSU pulled away in 2nd half. NM was god awful on offense - even in 1st half. I could be wrong but I will not be picking Aztecs to make it to the E8.

    Will be rooting for Huggins this afternoon. Too bad it's only available via streaming. . .as is their game @ Baylor on Saturday

    Yes, if Kansas goes down, and we beat Pepperdine, we oughta move up to the overall second One Seed. Hope so, anyway. This fan thinks, in games future, Baylor's slumping a bit and will lose to both Kansas and W. Virginnie. (Yes, KU has to visit Lubbock, but still feel the Jayhawks outscore the points-challenged home club.)

    All this speculation is in the context of Kiddwell really liking Baylor and their coach, but not wanting any chance of GU ending up in New York for Sweet 16/Elite 8. (Unfortunately, New Mexico didn't help matters by losing to SDS last night.)
